Idk. GS 7-6 vs Cavs in Finals before KD (including no Kyrie and Love for a few of those), 7-1 since and I don’t remember Curry or Klay playing well last year

They did it! They took the evil delayed whistle, waiting to see if the shot went in on a blatant and-one, to the next quantum level!

 

On a Korver 3 point shot they waited to see if it went in and THEN called the foul when it missed, a full second after contact.

 

Usually they do this just for shots in the paint, sometimes the ball rolls around for a bit before it falls off and then they call the foul, which can take up to two seconds of delay on the whistle.

 

When refs are asked about this contingent rule of delayed whistle and calling an obvious foul only if the shot is missed, they deny that they are doing this.

I haven’t seen any articles on it but I’m curious what kind of hit CLE takes in franchise value when Lebron bolts. Its relevant as there were reports the owner was interested in selling. I’d say at least a few hundred million just came off the price tag

Don't see a reason why we wouldn't. He was coaching a D-League team 5 years ago to only shoot 3s and drive. I'm excited to see what he does defensively.

Still need to get rid of Demar for anything to really matter, OR have a couple guys step their games up bigtime. Casey tried to implement a new strategy and it worked when they actually used it, but as soon as any adversity struck, there was Demar chucking 19 footers and turning it over trying to dribble.

 

If Demar is still on the team next season and we see him carrying the ball up court for the last play of the quarters and halves all the time like under Casey.. I won't be watching. I've seen that show for 5 years and its garbage.

This looks like a concession to me, they’ll settle for playoffs and just wait till the large contracts expire. Which is fine, you can’t realistically compete with GS/HOU with this core.

 

I don’t see a championship team with DeRozan as the #1 option. Nothing against him, he’s just not at that level.

Yeah, it's not disrespect to say DeRozan isn't a HOF calibre player. He just not. He's not even really worth a max deal, but the NBA has money falling out of its ass and they had to pay it to someone...they just gt stuck with the wrong guy.

He's worth a max deal. They can probably trade him right now and get value back, he was ALL-NBA after all.

 

I agree that he isn't a number 1 option on a contender but he's still worth the contract. The Ibaka contract on the other hand...

the draft is just an interlude, if you get good enough you can go to whatever team you dictate has to take you each season
