Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Raptors had 69 bench points, lol... this team is really flippin' good.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Raptors had 69 bench points, lol... this team is really flippin' good. The only thing that worries me is how they'll do when other teams shorten their benches in the playoffs and starters start going 40+ minutes...and that bench advantage is diminished.

The other teams starters may not be able to keep up with the 2nd unit with the pace they push. Hard to say. It'll be interesting to see for sure.

It'll be interesting to see for sure. It's possible... But until I see it play out that way I'll be a little concerned. Hopefully the energy level of our bench will be too much to handle.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I can see the Raptors doing very well against the Cavs in the playoffs using a fast pace and making liberal use of the bench. So what if LeBron puts up 40+ every night. If the Raptors are putting up 120+ that means the rest of Cleveland's team has to put up 80. That's even if Cleveland is the Raptors' #1 threat right now. They have absolutely no defense. Thinking big...as far as the West is concerned. The Warriors are battling through injuries which means Houston will likely have home court in the Conference finals. And the Raptors are only one loss behind them.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Man, Russell is absolutely shredding us.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Demar playing with so much energy tonight
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Facing a lopsided whistle like this is really good practice for the playoffs. Not much fun to watch though.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Facing a lopsided whistle like this is really good practice for the playoffs. Not much fun to watch though. It's been brutal call after brutal call.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Too many turnovers from the Raps tonight and Indiana taking care of the ball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 CJ Miles is genuinely a game changer.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 And he's dead. Raptors are great this year, win every game they should (for the most part) and can turn it on whenever they please. Several of their recent wins they weren't playing their best but turned it on with 16-18 minutes left to get comfortable wins
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Damn man close games tonight.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Based on the comments in this thread you'd think the Raptors are a little over .500 battling for the playoffs. This team has won a kazillion games in a row, mostly routinely and even the nailbiter wins haven't been all that lucky or anything. Relish the moment, this may be the best Raptors team we'll see in a generation. Though ideally we'll have one or two more years of this.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 It really is incredible. Not only is the team legitimately great, but they are also extremely likeable.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Imagine the Cavs falling to the 8th seed. The NBA would be terrified of having LeBron losing in the 1st round and DeMar would be ejected in the second game of the series..followed by a 3 game suspension for looking at someone wrong
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I don't like Wright gravitating towards the corner when he's working as the starting point guard. It takes away the ability to run the offense.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Now obviously Demar put him in a tough spot but lol Serge. Anyways that was a great end to the 4th, just carry it over to OT and we should have this in the bag.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 20 TO's from the Raptors today. That's not gonna get it done.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Lmao Whatever Raptors need to realize they have to be up 10 or they aren’t going to win
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Refs sucked but come onnnn Ibaka you suck more
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 Refs sucked but come onnnn Ibaka you suck more Refs were horrible all game, but seemed to make a ton of bad calls both ways. Also, you simply cannot take technicals at the end there if you're Demar.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 That was a really hard game to watch.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 That was a really hard game to watch. I made it through most of the 2nd quarter before I just couldn't anymore. Not because they were behind at the time, it was just horrible basketball to watch. Not entertaining at all.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 79 points at the half lol. That's completely absurd.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Very impressive offensive performance. Should be up a lot more though when you can’t miss from 3 like this
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 This is like an all star game. The first team to remember that defense is a thing will take this game.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Cavs decided that defense is good. Raps lead going from 15 at the half to 1 after 3. Let's see if they respond.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Raps don't have it defensively tonight. Cavs shooting 59% from the floor (62% from 3P).
