Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 The NBA is turning into one big All-Star game. All offense, zero tough defence.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 The NBA is turning into one big All-Star game. All offense, zero tough defence. Boston says otherwise. It's really teams now understand how valuable the 3 point shot is so the point totals are increasing.

It's really teams now understand how valuable the 3 point shot is so the point totals are increasing. I think it's more that teams aren't using up all the shot clock every possession, which also prevents the defense from setting up as easily. Teams are looking to make things happen early.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Loving the energy early in this game from both teams. Demar with a couple of 3s already, and that Lowry-Derozan alley-oop connection in the first quarter is practically a guarantee at this point.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Really not a fan that every time an elbow accidentally flies or someone gets slapped in the face that the referees go and review for a flagrant. You can usually tell after the first replay if anything, no need to stretch it out this much.

If more is warranted, the league can hand out a fine or something after the game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 JV really needs to get traded/benched. Just isn't good.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 All of a sudden the Knicks are running the Raps right out of the building. I'm not sure wtf happened but it's been an embarrassing quarter.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 This has to be one the worst Quarters in franchise history. Everyone just looks terrible.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 28-0 run lol. I mean the Knicks have played amazing but christ.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Can we just wave the white flag?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Crowd is in the Raps head.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Just one of those quarters where literally everything went wrong. Couldn't make a shot, the Knicks didn't miss, every single loose ball went their way. Oh well, good to get it out of the way.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I must say MSG crowd is back to being the best in the NBA. What an atmosphere.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 It's like in the 3rd quarter the Knicks were the Monstars and they had stolen all the talent away from the Raps. Seems like they got it back now!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 what a strange game this has been
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I understand the second unit got us back into the game, but there is zero reason for Fred VanVleet to be out there in a 6 point game in the 4th quarter. Pretty much single-handedly took us out of the game.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Siakam needs to stop switching off Porzingis.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 what? He's been great defensively out there. Powell and OG haven't been good at all this game. Powell was great offensively until the third came along, I don't think OG was a problem but he was a bit transparent at times. FVV is killing us on offense, he either dribbles for 3 hours and takes a bad shot and doesn't make it, and his being on the court is causing serious height mismatchs, Lowry is being forced to guard Hardaway Jr. and the latter is having his way.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 See like wtf was that? Just a useless offensive possession, he had multiple of those which killed us.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Meh overall the team played well, just a super derpy third quarter. The Knicks deserved this one.

Well coming back from injury I don't think he was going to be put back in anyway. I know what you are saying about FVV as he's played questionable mins in the past but he was great tonight. I think the JV-Ibaka starting frontcourt has to be split up. Its clear they're terrible together and the raps are just losing valuable points when they're on the floor together.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I love that Lonzo Ball sucks.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 I think Lonzo will be alright. Just not an elite PG. what's most interesting is what LeBron thinks of the Lakers. I don't think they're good enough to make him want to jump ship. As a LeBron fan I'm personally hoping for a Philly signing. That would be sick squad next year

Seems like they got it back now! It didnt look like it was due to lack of effort which is fine I suppose, every team goes through that.

I think Paul George would be a great fit there and make them legit contenders right away.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 I shot like dog s*** at my pool league last night, but immediately felt better when I saw how s***** the Raps 3rd quarter was.
