Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I do think it is incredibly obnoxious to go and bring Canadian flags on the road. By all means, wear your colors and chear the Raptors, but having all this Canadian-centric crap is overdoing it. Imagine Yankee fans bringing USA flags and chanting USA at Rogers Centre? Don't tell me you wouldn't question that. I've never heard any Canada! chants in any American arena ever. You might have a point in that they're overdoing the Canadian thing, but all you normally hear is cheers for the Jays/Raptors and maybe the occasional Let's Go X! chant along with it.

Yeah, the USA chants are just as egregious, I would never take a Canadian Flag to a game though, unless, you know, it's Team Canada playing, lol.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 What the f*** are the refs doing? Jesus.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 What the f*** are the refs doing? Jesus. Aside from actually calling it a flagrant 1, I'm not sure the calls have been wrong. I'm sure they'll get worse though.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 That travel on Biyombo looked like total bull, plus missing Lowry getting elbowed. Yeah, and that Biyombo travel one.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I picked a hell of a time to tune in. Utter horseshit ref show.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I picked a hell of a time to tune in. Utter horseshit ref show. Yeah, definitely getting worse. We just have to take those 3's away. We're actually doing some nice things aside from that.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Holy f*** they cannot defend the threes worth s***.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 seems like lowry gets stripped from behind a lot
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Boxy hasn't stated we're probably only down by 5 yet?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 well this has been a disappointing end to the season after games 3 and 4.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I have really developed a strong dislike for the Cavs this series.
Stoneyen Verified Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I have really developed a strong dislike for the Cavs this series. They don't miss threes. And we have missed a ton, lots wide open
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 at least these last 2 games will bring biyombo's price down maybe
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 People expected us to get swept. I guess we can't be too upset about going to game 6. Just too many missed shots tonight.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 at least these last 2 games will bring biyombo's price down maybe No it won't ------------------------- Dunno why it's so somber in here. This was such a good year, especially since it feels like Demar isn't coming back.

spittin Verified Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) Ugh, felt like they went away from doing what they did well in games 3 and 4, it's like JV had to get a certain amount of playing time allotted to him regardless of what he did out there. Edited May 28, 2016 by spittin
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Great season. It would be nice if this thread can go 24 hours without complaints about needing to can Casey or toss DeRozan. 56 wins in a season and a conference final appearance is better than what most teams have done in recent memory.
Hal Johnson Verified Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I'm immensely proud of this Raptors team. What a great season. JV is a beast. Lowry has more heart than the entire Cavs and Raps teams combined. Losing always sucks, but this was a really great run.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 No thanks. I'll continue to bitch and moan about Casey until he's gone, even if hes extended for 5 years. A NBA coach playing favouritism with his rotation at this stage is unacceptable and he's done it every year he's been here. DeRozan at least has good games here and there to make him passable
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Congrats to the Toronto Raptors on a hell of a year!!! 2 wins away from the NBA finals certainly ain't bad.

I doubt it. If I had to choose between Casey and Derozan it would definately be Casey.

Still a mile away though. But I really like the direction the club is going. Might even have to take a few steps back next year, but that might be the only path to the next level.

I doubt it. If I had to choose between Casey and Derozan it would definately be Casey. In this case of course not, the talent level on both teams determined the winner. It's more of the principle for me. DeRozan has physical limitations to what he can do on the court, I dont believe anyone actually believes he isnt giving it is all. None of us can even come close to what DeRozan does every night, but we can all manage his rotations and short clock scenarios better than Casey. That's the biggest problem I have, that casual fans could do parts of his job better than he can. There's only 30 HC jobs available every year, Casey doesnt deserve/should have one when he continues to get exposed
