GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 is Thon Maker going to be Canadian? I wouldn't be surprised. He's going to HS up in Orangeville at that Athletes Prep Institute thing. I could be imagining it but I think he spoke highly of Canada.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 LOL @ going from a reserve backcourt of Lou Will and General Greivis to Cojo and Delon Wright. That's great. Good work Masai. Potentially overlooked aspect of this: we don't need Lowry to play through injuries anymore. Cojo/Wright for a 5 game stretch really isn't bad or anything. Didn't he fill in for TP on a few occasions?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Thon Maker isn't Canadian. Sam Dalembert will not suit up for our National Team again they won't even call him. He's up in Orangeville and it'd probably be far, far better for his career if he played for Canada
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Demar + next 7 first round draft picks for Wiggins, letsgo masai!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I know but he said in April hes going to compete for Australia or atleast he wants too who are quickly becoming a power as well. Ben Simmons is going first overal next year. I know about Simmons, but Exum is probably poo. Surprised he won't compete for Canada, then. Simmons and who, Dellavedova? Ew.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 PG: Lowry, Joseph, Wright SG: Derozan, Ross SF: Carroll, Johnson PF: Patterson C: Valanciunas, Biyombo That's a top team in the east 905s get Daniels, Bruno, Noguiera lol. Powell stashed overseas?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Andrew Bogut duh Bogut one of the best defensive Centers in the NBA. Warning: some assembly required
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 One Demarcus Cousins please. We could give them Dwane Casey
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 So Masai has added a 3 and D SF, a 3 and D PG, and defense/rebounding C. I don't want to get optimistic but I'm getting there
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Still need a Power Forward. We need low post scoring badly. Bruh Casey hasn't been fired yet lol. No low post scoring incoming. Idk who the options are for PF at this point though. We might be better off trading for a SF and moving Carroll to the 4.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Don't. Casey is going to play Cojo at PF. Dwane Casey "I believe in what the Warriors did, I like small ball" PG: Kyle Lowry SG: Chuck Hayes SF: Delon Wright PF: Cory Joseph C: Terrance Ross
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Casey will screw it up somehow, just look at James Johnson.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 All these defensive studs, and Casey will find a way to play Luke Ridnour 20 minutes a night. Dem Veitrins
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Is Taj Gibson good enough to warrant a first rounder? The Chicago fans I know don't really like him but they're also not intelligent
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 All these defensive studs, and Casey will find a way to play Luke Ridnour 20 minutes a night. Dem Veitrins Masaiah will waive him in a week he's a non guaranteed contract Just sticking around in case we have use for the contract in a trade
TRM Verified Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Is Taj Gibson good enough to warrant a first rounder? The Chicago fans I know don't really like him but they're also not intelligent Then TRoss for Gibson straight up.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Taj Gibson is worth a first round especially when our picks are coming at around 20.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Taj Gibson is worth a first round especially when our picks are coming at around 20. DReb% around 17%, OReb% around 10%, FT% around 70%, eFG around 50%, RPM negative, 1 WAR/VORP. idk

GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Oh s***, Markieff Morris is on his way out of Phoenix. Yes please.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Huh I thought Taj Gibson was a very good pick and roll defender but when I looked up his stats, it isn't very good... Edit: nvm, he's very good, 90th percentile. He's definitely worth a 1st round pick, probably more from a non-lottery team.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I can't believe Cory Joseph got 30 million. I was thinking 4 years 20m at the most. I know the cap is going up but damn no hometown discount for us. Rich Paul is the Scott Boras of the NBA. Not awful, I guess What's the price on Morris, do you guys think?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Shump got 40 million so this is the cost of doing business I suppose.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 http://www.raptorsrepublic.com/2015/07/05/report-corey-joseph-close-to-signing-with-raptors/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+RaptorsRepublic+%28Raptors+Republic%29 The number looks high now, but the deal will become miniscule in Years 2 and 3. It works out to 8.3 percent of the cap in 2016-17 and 7.4 percent in 2017-18. That’s when Joseph should be hitting his prime, which could make this contract a bargain. Not bad whatsoever
