GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 94% of Joseph's 3s were assisted last year. Carroll had a number like that too. Casey's going to get exposed if he doesn't adjust.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Cojo + Biyombo, yep I'm definately back on masai's cock. Now if he would just fire casey and derozan
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Wonder if we could fit David Lee's contract in. Ridnour's deal is like 3, Ross' deal is like 4, and I think we have a Novak trade exception of about 3.5, and we have about 4-5m in salary cap space. We could grab a still-good PF and I'd think Golden State would include something else too. I like the idea of this tbh
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Iso is dead. Ball needs to move to make this work. This is Casey's chance to prove everyone wrong. Its a chance he didn't deserve. But it he can get this team playing defense the way they were a lot of people will shut up. I dunno if the defense was Casey's fault last year. With Lou Demar and Vasquez there's only so much you can do. I do like the way we defend pick and rolls. Iso ball will be a big thing. If Casey moves on from that, I'll go back to being neutral on him.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I doubt Masai will go after David Lee after bringing in all these defensive players. A Lee+JV frontcourt would be gross defensively, and Patterson is not known for his defense either. They need someone like Taj Gibson.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Love David Lee. I just wish he was a better defender. He got dumped out of the Warriors rotation for this reason alone. He could be 18 and 10 again for sure though. Ross + Ridnour + Novak cap exception for Lee would be taking on 4.5m of cap space. If Joseph and Carroll's deals are back loaded, which it'd be ridiculous if they weren't, I see no reason we can't afford that. I'm sure GS would include an asset with Lee as well, especially considering Ross kind of has value. His defense isn't good but that's what Biyombo is for. Really want this to happen.

What's our wishlist at this point? Solid options: 1. Lee 2. Morris 3. Gibson 4. Gallinari -- 5. Everyone else
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Off the top of my head for PF: 1. Taj Gibson/probably a few guys I can't remember 2. A random tall guy 3. Lee
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I hear Sim Bhullar is available and Canadian Let me put it this way. If we trade for Lee, we'll get a first round pick in the deal. The more first rounders we have. the more first rounders we can package with Demar for someone who isn't bad
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I will be interested to see if a JV/Biyombo front court can work. JV will have to start hitting jumpers instead of pumpfaking all the time though.

JV will have to start hitting jumpers instead of pumpfaking all the time though. He's shot around 39% from mid range. Doesn't need a ton of work to make that legitimately good. His jump shot is definitely workable imo
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Dineke if you want defense at PF we should probably be going for Faried Contract is really reasonable under new cap and he's a Ujiri guy. Wonder what it'd take. Ross, Ridnour, a first and second? Not NYK first.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Faried is not good at defense... I'm going off of a 107 DRTG His defense tracking seems pretty average though
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Is it a reputation thing? I've not once watched him play All his shot differentials are bad, I'll have to look at his sportvu data to see the bigger picture, give my a sec.

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 37,20,67 percentile for iso, post-up, and pick and roll in that order. He's not very good. You can find sportvu on nba.com, it's just a hassle to go through.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Js if we got a first for taking on Lee that'd be 3 first rounders including one that is likely to be pretty high Rookie contracts are going to be gold in the new TV deal. Rookie scale won't be adjusted to the cap, I don't think. Unless it will, in which case I'm dumn. But 3 picks is still nice. Simmons, Rabb, Bender, Murray, etc.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 A draft pick from GS will probably be 27 or later. David Lee is just so crappy on defense and he doesn't even have 3 pt range.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Totally but pick 28 + pick 25 (being optimistic here for our Raps) + a lotto pick could fetch something good next year and Lee isn't a bad stop gap for just one year. Horford, Anderson, Terrence Jones, Danillo, MKG, Barnes, Henson, Jefferson, Hickson, Drummond, Whiteside are all FA next year fwiw. we f***ing gave away Whiteside sigh Isn't Lee a very good passer? That's something we need.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Aren't we up against the cap right now with the cjo signing? And I think Lee is making 14 mil next year? I mean even if we got rid of Delmar we would still need to make more cap room to absorb Lee.

We either have the cost or very close to the cost to absorb his contract, I believe. I could be totally wrong, does the cap exception expire or something?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I think it only lasts to the draft. I'm not sure though.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Stolen from RealGM, I will be shocked if we don't see a lot of Lowry-CoJo lineups: CoJo: 1444 total MP 74% at PG: +133 +/- 98.2 OFF - 92.2 DEF = +6.0 Net48 16.1 PER (.543 eFG%) 12.7 OPP PER, (.432 eFG%) Net PER = 3.4 26% at SG: +40 +/- 101.8 OFF - 16.5 DEF = +5.3 Net48 16.5 PER (.465 eFG%) 11.7 OPP PER (.455 eFG%) Net PER = 4.9
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Joseph, Carrell, Wright, Biyoma in. Vasquez, Lou, Hansbrough out. Yea this team will actually be watchable next year http://giant.gfycat.com/JollyHandyGroundhog.gif
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 So CoJo got more then Lou. Something wrong here? And appearently Lou's a little sour on being told to walk.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Cojo is a better defender with more potential, and he's Canadian so he'll sell jerseys.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Cojo is a better defender with more potential, and he's Canadian so he'll sell jerseys. I dunno man I think we're gonna miss Sweet Lou. Just sayin.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I dunno man I think we're gonna miss Sweet Lou. Just sayin. We will on offense but given a choice between Joseph and Lou, I'll take my chance on the 23 year old with great defense. Plus a move away from isoball is a good thing in my books.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Raptors interested in Boozer. I`d like him off the bench as our 4th big. Very good rebounder, solid defender
