The great @WindhorstESPN just told us "it's 99% and the ball is in the 1 yard line." On a Kevin Love deal to Cleveland. @ESPN1100

Not sure if I like/dislike Wiggy to Minnesota for his developmental purposes.

On one hand, Lebron has turned very average players into allstars (i.e. Mo Williams) but on the other he probably wouldn't get many touches. He'd get playing time because he's a solid defender but his offense would be limited.

Rubio loves the fastbreak game and Wiggins is basically unstoppable in transition. Could be a nice combo.

Bennett was pulled by agent from a Pro-Am game today. Bennett's agent is also Kevin Love's agent.

Minny is bad for rookies isn't it? It's about development versus opportunity. Would you rather him stay in Cleveland where he'll likely end up a better player but be less likely to go to Toronto, or go to Minnesota where he'll likely end up worse but have a higher chance of going to Toronto?

Some of these guys have insanely skinny legs. Tyson Chandler looks like he's never trained his legs a day in his life. Something like this was bound to happen.

They're professional athletes playing a game that requires you to be jumping and running all the time, I think their training is fine.

That's a complete snap. There has to be some ligament damage as well there. There has to be something.

Solid 4-5 months. Can't be anything less. There's no way. f*** I hope he gets better.

E: It's 6 months. Friend's mom is a doctor. Granted, he's got access to better medical resources, so yeah, I'd guess 4-6 months. That's until he can play basketball though.

Basketball is full of those types of gruesome injuries, where bones are sticking out, and I wonder if some of them are the result of steroid abuse. I know it's not good to throw that term around too loosely (hello Damien Cox), but why hasn't there been much attention towards the potential use of steroids in the NBA? Steroid-induced osteoporosis can result in fractures like the one Paul George had. Hell, when I talked to relatives of mine who work in the health field, their first thought on the cause of the injury was, "Was he on steroids?" Now, this isn't evidence that he was ever on steroids (could have just been a freak accident), but I wonder why there hasn't been much attention towards the possibility that many NBA players are on steroids. Is it because people only connect steroids to hitting more home runs?

That's a compound fracture man, potentially career ending.

These athletes are insane and players with worse injuries recovered in the past. He may not be the same, but I don't think this will force him to retire. Out for season for sure tho. Didn't Kevin Ware with same injury comeback after 6 months?

Ware hasn't played a single minute of competitive basketball yet.

Quite possible. You almost never hear about guys getting busted for roids in the NBA... Makes you wonder how strict their testing system is.

Maybe it's just genetics too. A lot of these guys simply have small legs/bones. They're long and lean. You see big, brutish offensive lineman in the NFL get drilled in the shins/legs all the time and you only see a few nasty breaks per year. Obviously heavy weight training for your legs would help in preventing these types of injuries (stronger ligaments and muscles keep things stabilized) but if you naturally have thin bones then there really isn't much you can do.
