eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 WOW Raps got super lucky there. Terrible sequence.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 That's a fantastic win. Really big confidence builder.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Didn't watch, but big win by the raps!
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Magic number to clinch the division is down to 5, though even going 4-3 likely wins it for us as well. Big game Friday vs a potential 2nd round opponent.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I tried watching at one point but it was impossible to concentrate on the game, great win tonight! Big night for Toronto sports.

They have been winning regularly by 20+, can they be stopped? People can dismiss the importance of managers in baseball and other sports... but Popovich truly is a wizard. The way he keeps this team on top is actually a miracle. They're so old yet this might even be their best team yet. It's just a pure culture of winning. Duncan taking that huge paycut to give them payroll flexibility was hugely important too though.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Hahah, love Patterson and Hansbrough in that one
Caper Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 The west is so god damn good... It's almost no fare Miami has sub an easy ride.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 With how bad the Pacers are playing, the Raptors might actually have a small chance of making the eastern conference finals if they play them in the 2nd round.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I think we're all on the same page here hoping we get Indy round 2. Miami will beat us quite easily, we just don't matchup well at all with Lebron (not that anyone really does). However, Ross can be quite effective on George, so it at least gives us a shot.

Considering we haven't beaten the Heat with LeBron, yeah I don't think we would do too well
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Didn't catch the game but that's a huge win, especially with Lowry out.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Agreed on Indy. Priority #1 is winning the 3 seed though to avoid Brooklyn or Chicago in the first round.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Ya. Ideal situation is we win as many games as we can (will need at least 6-1 to secure the 3 seed with the cakewalk Chi has) and Miami takes top seed.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Big game tonight with Chicago at home facing the Bucks. Toronto actually has a better road record than Indy for what it's worth. Winnable game
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Rant of the year alert: http://www.thestar.com/sports/doug_smiths_sports_blog/2014/04/a_chance_for_raptors_tv_brass_to_make_amends.html Love this. He's bang on with this. How many games have been buried on TSN2 or SN1 this year? Like 80% of them?

He's bang on with this. How many games have been buried on TSN2 or SN1 this year? Like 80% of them? I guess it's not as bad as when the Jays put a bunch of games on sportsnet one when the channel wasn't even available in half of the country, while simultaneously blocking MLB.tv in Canada. I could literally offer 1000 dollars to watch a game and have no legal options.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Can't link it as it's a video on the SN front page but TL just said that they can and will resign Lowry.
Caper Verified Member Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Another double duty night... love the combo nights!!
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Huge wins vs the Rockets and Pacers without Lowry!!
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Jonas with a great game, Ross too
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 The Raps are officially Toronto's team. The Jays and Leafs don't deserve our attention.

You missed a great game if you went down to the Roger's center. Jonas's improvement throughout these past 2 weeks is beyond believable. The Pacers outside of a couple of key guys look like they couldnt care less if they win or not.

I'll go on record saying that I would've bet a lot of money that they lose both games against Houston/Indiana without Lowry. That is unbelievable really.
