G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 6th inning killed us. That was brutal. Lets Go home and spank some Tigers!! Agree Should have scored in the 6th Inexcusable that they didn't
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Well, at least we have the disappointing Tigers next.. but what a gut check of a loss. how many gut check losses can one team have before they realize they're just gutless
Tuco Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 You just cant lose games like this. We should have won, that 6th inning killed us. We should be a game up on .500 with a VERY favorable pitching matchup tomorrow.
Doc Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Thole needs to be DFA'd for that, a freaking little leaguer could make that play.
bowld Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Yesterday- man on 3rd, no outs..CANT SCORE today- bases loaded, no out...CANT SCORE today- grounder to first for a DP and it goes through his legs. f*** THIS TEAM
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Why wasn't EE playing first? Really though
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Why wasn't EE playing first? EE has a sore hammy by the looks of it. Was grabbing at it a bit.
Cello Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 All AL East rivals love having the Jays in the division.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Lind was playing first and left injured, EE was DH'ing today. Gibby could have moved EE to 1B and Thole to DH though Easy to say in retrospect. Thole has played >150 games at 1B apparently.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 When Lind gets subbed, cant we shuffle EE to 1B and Thole to DH, or must we put Thole on 1B?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 send Thole down. Dickey doesn't deserve a personal catcher.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Why wasn't EE playing first? Because he started off the game as the DH and Lind was at 1st before he left with an injury. You can't move him from DH to 1st without losing the DH spot. Thole was there out of necessity.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I'm still happy since the local neighbourhood bitch is gone. I'm not optimistic vs the Tigers starters, so any amount of wins against them will make me happy. you know he will be back.. and badder than ever
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Gibby could have moved EE to 1B and Thole to DH though Easy to say in retrospect. Thole has played >150 games at 1B apparently. Its not retrospect, its the logical move.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Back to a laughing stock, great idea to give up the farm for this awesome team AA.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 send Thole down. Dickey doesn't deserve a personal catcher. Soo... You're OK with JP catching him?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 send Thole down. Dickey doesn't deserve a personal catcher. Who the hell cares what he deserves or not? Fact is Dickey needs someone to catch his knuckler and it sure as heck isn't JPA.
Knights4Cup Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 When Lind gets subbed, cant we shuffle EE to 1B and Thole to DH, or must we put Thole on 1B? If you swap the dh into a position your pitcher has to bat.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 If you swap the dh into a position your pitcher has to bat. ahh ok
Tuco Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Back to a laughing stock, great idea to give up the farm for this awesome team AA. Thats the sad part. We gutted the farm and the pitching staff still isnt good enough and we still prolly need one more bat

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 And why is it ok to bring in Janssen with 2 men on, but not with no one out. Gibbons was horrible in this series, made a fool of himself.
Cello Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Back-to-back series losses against AL E rivals. WTF
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Thole hasnt shown the ability to do anything well at all. Actually, he does seem to be able to catch R.A. Dickey well. That's more than you can say for JPA.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Because he started off the game as the DH and Lind was at 1st before he left with an injury. You can't move him from DH to 1st without losing the DH spot. Thole was there out of necessity. Thank you You're right Gibbons could not have moved Edwin to 1B without losing the DH spot
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Back-to-back series losses against AL E rivals. WTF Are you surprised?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 When Lind gets subbed, cant we shuffle EE to 1B and Thole to DH, or must we put Thole on 1B? If your DH is moved to play defense, the pitcher must hit in his spot or that spot in the order is an automatic out. I think?
