kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Good spot for McGowan to get some work in? We need to showcase Oliver cause Relievers are always worth more at the trade deadline than any other time . A lites out Oliver could net us something
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 They were showing Oliver warming up. I guess he could use some work too, but seems like a perfect spot for McGowan. Anyway...Dickey and Wang are pitching on the weekend....
DH12 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Here in Calgary, I see at least a hat or two every day. Even I bought a Jays hat this year in the off season, When on a trip to DR in winter left it there and they have sucked so bad never replaced it
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 That was due to all the over hype in the off season. People made those purchases before the season started. Now that they have proven a failure I am sure sales have tanked. Once you buy a hat or shirt you may as well wear it though even though the team is too far out to make post season. We don't know when they were bought but you may be right. And Rogers may spend more money but we don't know what they're thinking.....I was shocked when they increased the payroll and if they spend more next year I'll be happy but shocked again.
kcjaysfan Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Aside from when the Blue Jays are in town, I see maybe one hat every year or two here in Kansas City.

I've seen lots of Kawasaki shirts/jerseys lol.. people are watching!
oakville69 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 We've already spoke about this to a great extent, if they finish strong and keep getting the good gate, that extra 25 million looks sweet also...I agree. Agreed. Attendance is still strong despite a last place team that has floundered since April 2. I read somewhere that TV ratings are flat which is OK. If Rogers has a lineup on opening day 2014 that looks "playoff" calibre team then Rogers will be happy & Jays fans will be happy.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 The buzz about the blue jays has been crazy even with this terrible start.. I probably see 20 jays hats a day and I still here people talking about last night's game every day. That's great actually. Glad people still care.
Cello Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 The Jays win! W: Buehrle (3-4) 30-36 6 games below .500

It shocked everyone which increased the hype you can be they will be much more careful with spending next year unless they finish very strong
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Man so different to get two starts of 7 innings from our starters great game , I may have to eat my posts on Buehrle . since the Tampa game the guy has been very good.

Cello Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Finally, we've won 30 games this season!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Can't watch the game. Blacked out in New Orleans (WTF???). Also out with wife so you know. Anyhow 8-0 makes me happy happy happy. G dat
Tuco Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Texas is playing just ugly baseball right now. Theres really no reason why we shouldnt take the next two games with the pitchers we have plus Texas's struggling O. Then go home, sweep the Rockies and BOOM.......record of 35-36
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap* lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap* lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap* lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap* lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap* lets go blue jays *clap, clap* *clap, clap, clap*

If they take 1 of the next 2 I'd be very happy. Then they get the Rockies at home and have to at least win 2 of 3 against them and against the O's and Reyes and Morrow could be back right after that, we'll see what happens.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Can someone calculate our pytho record after this?

Yes Dickey has been very inconsistent just don't know what you'll get from him. Wang not sold on him yet, he pitched well but got hit hard that game.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 That extra money is chump change to Rogers. They will easily cough that up if they believe the Jays can bring in more advertising revenue for them which seems likely. I agree with this POV.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Yeah man.........the buzz is back. We need a very good finish, next year could be sick. Fingers and toes crossed. Not only is the buzz back but it is spreading far and wide across all of Canada.
