eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Meanwhile, Mike Aviles doing exactly what a servicable backup MIF should do. On pace for around 2.5-3 WAR Great trade!

Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Based on passed experience and AA's quick trigger, Rogers "should" be DFA'd after today's outing.. Let's all hold hands and hope
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Rogers is kinda s***, and I used to be a fan of him. AA should've signed Matt Lindstrom or Mike Adams, neither were too expensive. Jason Grilli would've been so nice
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 AA undervalues bench players/position players in general. We have so many fringe starter types that could easily step in and do what Rogers has done. Just makes no sense at all. Aviles is nothing special but he's a very solid backup.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Meanwhile, Mike Aviles doing exactly what a servicable backup MIF should do. On pace for around 2.5-3 WAR Great trade! but you can never have enough weak armed middle relievers in the AL east.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 What is Carreno's K/9 again? something utterly stupid 15+

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It's gotta be pretty tempting to throw Cecil into the rotation with the way he's been going lately.... but I hope they keep him where he's at. He's thriving in his current role.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 With Davis out, I wish we still had casper. Where has he ended up?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 With Davis out, I wish we still had casper. Where has he ended up? White Sox
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Pointless to discuss Grilli. Different team, different circumstances. KNowing our luck he probably would've been a huge gas can early on due to being over worked.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 With Davis out, I wish we still had casper. Where has he ended up? Yeesh I wish we still had Snider as a 4th OFer. Lincoln has been awful.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Davis and lind has done their jobs but boni, derosa, izturis and rogers are complete ass
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Tabler "when ya start seeing JP start taking borderline pitches...." LOL
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lots of hard hit balls today. I'd get excited but we've seen this dog-and-pony show before. Just gotta hope that Dickey can actually show up to the park on Tuesday and keep this thing going.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Eddy!!!!! What the heck was jose doing!
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 We were so worried about these AAA pitchers filling in for our injured starters but they actually ended up being pretty good.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 My god is it refreshing to see our best hitters hitting like they can.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Dickey vs Zito will be tough. Zito has been on this year and we all know how the Jays have faired against soft tossing garbage LHP in the past. Vogelsong vs Morrow is a pretty favorable matchup. A split would be nice but we have to be aiming for 2/2.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 uh oh, Edwin got something to RF... Murphy won't be impressed.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Now all we need is a patented Rasbomb
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 JP will prolly hit a meaningless bomb right here
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 My god is it refreshing to see our best hitters hitting like they can. have to hope it's a sign of things to come and not just a big tease.
