Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I don't want to get too excited, but a 2 HR day for Bautista gets me pretty pumped that he cod turn this around. Hopefully trade him and get prospects to trade for Stanton. I could only dream
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Nice to see the Jays on the right side of a laugher. fixed
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Napoli loves the jays, need to take jenkins out...
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 terrible Gibbons why bring him out for next inning after 80 pitches ???
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Gotta get him out of there now. 90 pitches and you sure as hell don't want Boston building momentum
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jenkins should not have started this inning..
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Good start for Jenkins. He deserves the next start over Ortiz.
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yeah, Jenkins is out of gas. Good start, would much rather see him take another turn than Ortiz haha.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jenkins working off of one AA start back from an injury, this is a really nice start.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Nice to see a team other than us have a brain fart on the base paths.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 We only have 3 more hits than the sox lol
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 We only have 3 more hits than the sox lol The long ball at work. It's just too bad that it's not a sustainable way to score runs consistently.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Good job Loup. I want to see more runs here!
Randy The Robot Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 In other news former Jay Edgar Gonzalez has given up 4 runs against the Rangers while only recording 1 out. lolol
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Gomes has been brutal early on this year....that's an expensive platoon bat that isn't producing. I've seen worse He's been bad but hes still sporting a .342 OBP before today
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 JP 0 for 4 in this blowout with 1K Seems about right.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Right now I'd be first pitch hacking on Motensen, clearly a guy who would be throwing nothing but first pitch fastballs... and he can't hit 90 consistently with it. I'd go up there waiting for that first pitch meatball right now.
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Seems about right. I think the 25% K-rate can be considered a major success for JP lol
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Is it just me or is Lawrie's power coming back? He's hitting a lot of nice line drives and I'm sure they'll eventually start to fall in. He's hitting more HRs, too.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Seems about right. Lol. Perfect cleanup hitter. POWER FOR DAYZZZ!!!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lawrie has been snakebit this entire series, he's been spraying it all over the park and nothing really falling in. He could easily have had 7 or 8 hits
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jorge de la Rosa no no watch is on through 5.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Management has no more excuses on JPA. They were basically living on the premise that JP had some untapped offensive ability and he could be a stud in this regard. After his hot start hes back to being a brutal player who cant take a walk and always K's and to top it off hes arguably the worst defender at his position in the league. The sooner they cut ties with this guy or even massively reduce his playing time the sooner we become a really good team.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lawrie's not jabbing and missing at fastballs right down the pipe anymore. Looks like he could have fixed the hitch in his swing, looks a lot better. It could also be that the fastballs he's facing today have been 88-91, rather than 93+, therefore that hitch is just not causing to be late on the slower FB
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 JP 0 for 4 in this blowout with 1K Amazes me the org thinks this guy is the franchise catcher, scary.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jorge de la Rosa no no watch is on through 5. He's also at 80 pitches before the 6th inning started. Unless he gets a couple very quick innings, he won't last.
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 He's also at 80 pitches before the 6th inning started. Unless he gets a couple very quick innings, he won't last. E-Jax style, 150 pitches and 10BB's
