oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Another solid inning by Jenkins!!! Should be able to give us another 1 hopefully 2 more I must say I am very impressed by Jenkins. He was a first round pick by the Jays in 2009. After watching Romero & the other starters generally perform poorly, it's refreshing to b able to watch a game where the starting pitching has been solid.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Gibbons will get trigger happy like usual. Another solid inning by Jenkins!!! Should be able to give us another 1 hopefully 2 more you cant burn the guy out. he's thrown 5 innings only once all year. he's not really stretched out. he's been good. it would really stink to blow him out in 1 game.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Its going going going gone! Lawrie!!!!
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It very well could be too much to overcome, but if they can get to .500 by mid season, they have a legit chance to challenge for a wild card I think. I agree, its not impossible, they are playing better, was a good road trip considering we gave one game away in TB.
Pete_7 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lawrie!!! Jenkins is done for the day guys, his pitch count for today was 80 and he's at 81.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 JAys brought the HR swings today. 4 HR's, now lead the majors.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 ATTA BOY GORDIE! Brett Lawrie! Remember that bomb he hit off of Lester first pitch last year?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lawrie!!! Jenkins is done for the day guys, his pitch count for today was 80 and he's at 81. Great game by him, time to throw out our weak bp guys unless it gets close.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I've been watching his stats..... at one point he had like 16 BB and 3 SO, now he has 18 BB and 32 SO ...... LOL!! He never had 16 BB and 3 K at any point.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Lawrie! Some tape-measure shots today. Jenkins should stay out there until 105 pitches, no reason to take him out with such a lead. Jenkins has only pitched past 5 once...... cannot let him go 100 + pitches buullpen is good to go today with buerhles outing.
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 why would you burn out Jenkins? Day off tomorrow, bullpen will have lots of rest
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Good to see Lawrie turn on a pitch... Would this be the first series win all year? lolol
oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Jenkins has not been stretched out so his pitch count has probably been reached....start next inning and if leadoff man gets on, pull him.. Jenkins looks a bit tired after 5 innings. Bullpen for the 6th? Tomorrow is an offday.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 ATTA BOY GORDIE! Brett Lawrie! Remember that bomb he hit off of Lester first pitch last year? Thank jesus that wasn't off Dempster. Seems like the Jays just have the hitting shoes on today.

He has only had 1 start in the minors so far. Can't risk it just yet, we may very well need him for another start.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Boni with a 3-3 day? Damn I really hope this is the end of Boni's absolutamous suckadickus.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Good to see Lawrie turn on a pitch... Would this be the first series win all year? lolol Close... just our 2nd lol Saki with the walk!
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Boni is 3-3... Now I'm convinced that this isn't real life
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 KAwasaki must be so frustrating to pitch to.. you know hes not gonna hit it hard yet he just keeps grinding. Like pitching to non-ball playing girls in a slow-pitch league.
Randy The Robot Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Boni on fire! - Don't get too excited. He'll go hit less in his next 50 at bats. He's a terrible, terrible hitter. Though to give him credit he has got it off two very good pitchers.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I hope we run up the score hate the sox.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Would be good time for a double steal right now.

Like pitching to non-ball playing girls in a slow-pitch league. I can't even think of the last time I saw a player choke up on the bat as far as Kawasaki did there. No reason to sit him vs lefties with the patience he has.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 They won't walk Melky to load the bases for Jose
