Post Game Thread: May 8, 2013. Toronto 3 - 10 Tampa Bay

Well this board just saw its first loss and the end of the nice 3 game winning streak we had. Offence didn't show up and neither did RR who was throwing balls all over the place, and all his pitches in the zone were getting hit for base hits. The dude didn't last more than one out in the 1st!

Jays score (lead 2-0): Encarnacion blasts a homer to center field driving in Melky on a two run jack!

 

Bottom of the 1st:

Rays score (Jays lead 2-1): Evan Longoria singles Desmond Jennings with the bases loaded. The bases remain juiced

Rays score (tied 2-2): James Loney singles to right field, Kelly Johnson scores, and the bases remained juiced

Rays score (Jays trail 3-2): Luke Scott singles in Ben Zobrist. Once again the bases remain juiced

 

Bottom of the 2nd:

Rays score (Jays trail 4-2): Ben Zobrist singles in Kelly Johnson

 

Bottom of the 4th:

Rays score (Jays trail 6-2): Evan Longoria smashes home run #8, a two run shot bringing in Ben Zobrist

 

Bottom of the 6th:

Rays score (Jays trail 8-2): Kelly Johnson hits his 5th homer of the year, a two run shot. Desmond Jennings scores

Rays score (Jays trail 9-2): James Loney doubles to center, drives in Ben Zobrist

Rays score (Jays trail 10-2): Luke Scott with a sac fly to center. James Loney scores

Jays score (trail 10-3): Edwin Encarnacion lifts a sac fly to left field. Melky Cabrera scores

Jays score (trail 10-4): Mark DeRosa singles to center scoring JP Arencibia

Not too bad of a game. Pitching wasn't good but I feel the offense had many chances to score. Lots of guys left on base tonight, just couldn't come up with those clutch hits.

Jays did have the opportunities. It could have been a closer game in the end, but just wasn't their night. Need to get the series win tomorrow and I think we can all agree that would be a solid way to begin the turnaround.

The Jays are in serious downfall right now. The pitching situations needs to change ASAP or we'll be looking at the worst Jays team ever by the end of the season.

Well our Premium Red won silver at the 2011 All Canadian Wine Championships as a red hybrid, beating out Ontario and BC wineries. Canada Post has started a new wine shipping program, I'll try to remember to post on here when we have joined it.
