I don't think AA is that retarded. I'm glad Alvarez is pitching well for the Marlins, help AA think twice before trading away young pitching talent. Thing is, Norris is miles ahead of Alvarez at his stage with a way higher ceiling. AA won't do it.

If we move Norris we better be getting a good damn player with control back for him.

Trout, Harper or Cutchen?

He reached the blue jays '30 pitch max an inning" limit. Struggled with his release point and command.

Talk about pampering.

f*** you dArnaud!!

Two stolen bases wow the catchers in the gcl are terrible

I wonder how much Norris' struggles are due to him not having pitched since June 29th or 9 days ago?

Who knows, but I'm thinking the layoff may have screwed up his routine since he was on such a roll.

Depends on how much he threw in between starts, I would think?

Yeah, but I have no clue why they pushed him back so many days after the rainouts. Anyway, I'm sure he'll come back strong his next start...oh s***, I just jinxed him.

Just came here to post this

If he can figure how to use his stuff better he could be a killer setup guy or a good swing man

Or possibly give us some starts with Happ in the pen? Happ can be a pretty effective late inning guy himself and would probably throw a bit harder than the 93-94 mph he's bringing currently.

GCL Blue Jays 10 GCL Phillies 3

Dunedin, FL - The Jays scored the first nine runs of the ball game, including three in the first. A Yeltsin Gudino sacrifice fly, a Juan Kelly triple and an Angel Gomez single accounted for the first inning runs. Dean Bell singled in another run in the fourth. A two-run double by Kelly and a wild pitch led to three more runs in the fifth and Max Pentecost doubled home two more runs in the sixth. Matt Morgan drove in the final run with a single in the seventh. Pentecost bounced back from a hitless debut with a five-hit game in this one. He had a perfect day at the dish that included two doubles. Kelly, Tejada, Gomez, Bell and Lane Thomas also joined the multi-hit parade with two apiece. Gomez added two walks while Tejada and Thomas had one each. Tejada also stole a base.

Roberto Osuna made a successful return to the mound after undergoing Tommy John surgery, striking out two of the three batters he faced in a perfect first inning. Mickey Storey had one strikeout in a perfect second inning before Sean Reid-Foley (1-0) took over. He turned in two shutout innings of one-hit ball while whiffing three. Nick Wells gave up the first two runs on four hits and a walk but struck out five over his three-inning stint. Francis Eduardo struck out one in a perfect eighth but Turner Lee was nicked for a run on three hits but in the ninth. He also struck out a batter.

2014 Draft Class was shining in GCL last night. Pentecost (as was posted many times) went 5-for-5, Lane Thomas got two hits of his own, and SRF went two innings allowing just one hit and getting three K's.

If things go well for Pompey, do you think he'll make an appearance in September 2015? Or do you think AA is inclined to let his hitters spend a full year in AA and AAA?

AA hasn't been too aggresive with september callups. Maybe the Snider fiasco is still fresh in the mind.
