Wow crazy game for the Fishercats. They score 7 in the bottom of the ninth to tie it and then give up 4 in the top of the tenth.

 

That was just a glitch in the MiLB scoreboard. I checked it too and saw the score but everything was way out of whack. They fixed it now

Apparently Drabek is done with the nonsense. Hes not going to try to nibble anymore. Hes going to pound the strikezone and force hitters to put the ball in play. If he gets hit he gets hit. He will tip his cap. A lot of command issues was mental. Hes learning to be more mature and relaxed on the mound. Sometimes you need to tip your cap.

 

So encouraging to see so few Ks. Yeah, I could see that, he always looked so tentative on the mound. I hope that they don't rush his this year, maybe move him up to AA but that's about it. It'd be great for him to have such a successful year. I wonder if we'll see him in 2014, maybe AAA at the beginning of the year and perhaps to the bigs after a few months?

Last year's injuries really did a number on this franchise. I doubt they would've made the stupid trades they made without the injuries. On the other hand, at least we got confirmation that the F/O is dumb.

 

Had they waited another year, the organization would be in very good shape, even if Bautista would be whining about the team not trying to win.

 

Anyway, good to see Hutchison and Drabek showing good health and pitching well. Having these 2 plus Nolin and Stroman start in AAA next season will be much better than all the AAAA guys they had this year.

I temper my expectations. High A ball is a far cry from the majors, even AA and AAA. More free-swingers and less patient hitters the further you go down the minor league ladder.

 

Not saying the numbers aren't great, just that until he does it against some better competition, it's cautious optimism at best.

For a guy coming off of TJS, his second TJS, especially Drabek, it's a huge positive.
