GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I wonder how much pity Kalfus will take upon the poor opposing pitchers tonight. Probably not much. I'm predicting 5-3 with 7 homers, 12 RBI, and 5 BB.
backontop Verified Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 OK, so much respect for Bob MCGowan, he said he stood behind the back stop in March and Sanchez blew his head off so to speak with his fast ball like he was going to be another Bob Feller. I guess whatever you hear in March you can take with a grain of salt. When I heard that I made sure I didn't forget the name Sanchez. Don't know what McGowan was doing all winter but who cares.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Makes sense on Pillar because of Gose in Buffalo. I really want to see Burns in AA for the 2nd half or a good chunk of it. I was checking what Marisnick did last year before his promotion to NH and going by that, Burns might soon get the promotion. Anyway, we'll see what happens. We will start seeing promotions now that short season ball has started.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 We need a prospects subforum, honestly.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 f***in' right. King Kalfus shall not be contained.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Dickie Thon in CF? What the f***? Must be a typo. Be prepared, when/if Kalfus hits a dinger I'm going to go apeshit.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Are you listening to the game? Nah I have work. I shouldn't be on the forums lol but oh well. Don't want to distract myself any more than I already am. Keep me updated!
backontop Verified Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I don't like Drabek, his first name is not Doug, so when I hear of of Drabek, it makes me dream of Cecil and Casey Janeson being starters again, but in your expert opinion, is someone other then Hutchinson ready to become a starter in April 2014?

Probably Stroman and Nolin.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 We will start seeing promotions now that short season ball has started. I hope so. I'm looking forward to seeing Burns in AA. Maybe they'll promote Nolin and Stroman to AAA, but they may not want to mess with Buffalo's roster too much as to not piss off the owners there with all the roster shuffling that has already gone on.

They're top prospects though, which they complained about not having. I'm sure they'd take a roster crunch in favor of those two.

Let's also not forget that Drabek and Hutchison will probably be sent down to Buffalo upon returning later on so that may also prevent Stroman and/or Nolin from being promoted. I guess they could get rid of some of the AAAA guys in favor of the younger guys.

Kalfus strikes out swinging I see he's feeling bad for the pitchers tonight.
backontop Verified Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 How do you hear from the expert, "The BluJay", the man who knows whats going in the Blue Jays Minor leagues? Other then Drabec, who is not his Dad and hutchinson, (don't want to go thru ten years of Dustin McGovern again. Is there one or two names who can become Blue Jays starters in April 2014?) In your humble opinion sir? Caz wez gonna need them.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Kalfus makes a great catch near the wall in RF Stud. 10 WAR+ per year. f*** I really want to see what happened lol.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Leyland solo HR! Tie game. Kalfus up to bat Here comes the BOOM
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Kalfus is life. Kalfus is love. All hail Kalfus.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Kalfus is Trout + Ruth + Griffey + A-Rod in his prime.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Kalfus scored his first professional run. C's leading 2-1!! ALL HAIL KALFUS! He is a legend in the making!

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 IIRC He's pretty much the only pitcher of note in Vancouver. Everyone else is just org fillers He and Surrey's Justin Atkinson (IF) are pretty much the only two guys on the roster worth following. Aside from Messiah Kalfus that is....

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Yeah I thought Davis not starting in Vancouver was odd too since he ended theirs last year and the jays usually have a guy finish a year where he would start the next year
