Evan Longoria sitting at 57.4 bWAR and 53.4 fWAR. He's going to end up painfully close to a Hall of Fame career. Probably will be one great season short of the optical WAR thresholds and a little light on hardware.

 

Evan Longoria doesn't feel like a HOFer.

 

He started off with a bang and then kind of tailed off.

 

His best 4 years were his first 4 years in the league 2008-2011 (age 22-25). He owns the highest combined WAR for those 4 seasons in the AL at 26.7. Joe Mauer was 2nd in the AL with 22.6. The only hitters to top Longoria's 26.7 is Brian McCann and Albert Pujols. Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee topped him on the pitcher side.

 

So are you guys interested or what he's back!?

That’s a good question. You take one of those guys and pair him with an average starter and you have yourself a #1 pitcher. RPs just seem so volatile though, it’s tough to buy into them in dynasties

You probably get a match before you hit the 100th best asset. Maybe anywhere between 50 and 100. Buyer would need to be in a certain kind of situation though

Yeah, I was thinking in the 50 area is where I start taking the reliever package over a fair number of players. I think Hader alone is a borderline top-50 contributor in our format as long as he maintains his current level.
