friends don't let friends play fantasy baseball playoffs in the last week of the regular season.

 

Agreed, but we'd still and the season like 10 days before the MLB regular season with a 2-week final.

 

I think it should be two weeks this year.

The nice thing about a 2 week final is it removes two start SP luck.

 

Like, if you get lucky with how starts line up you'll have a 3 start SP during the finals vs 2 starts for an opponent's SP. The advantage is 50% rather than 100%.

 

I guess we just need to think about changing the add/drop limit for the week. 5 might be too few for two whole weeks? Or just leave that as it is too and the finalists need to be conscious of any moves.

Fantrax uses calendar weeks and not matchup weeks. So it will allow 5 per week - 10 total for the finals.

Traded Stroman basically for nothing because I didn't have a roster spot for him. Within less than 48 hours Zack Wheeler and Nestor Cortes hit the IL. f***ing baseball.

We will set the matchups late tonight or tomorrow morning so don't panic if you look early in the AM and things don't look right

 

1 vs 8

2 vs 7

3 vs 6

4 vs 5

 

Remember, 4 division winners make the playoffs + 4 wild card teams

But matchups for those 8 teams are just based on total points so it's not like division winners get seeds 1 to 4. We could have a division winner as seed 8 this year even.

 

First two rounds are one week one.

I dropped him early in the year, he took off after that, just glad I got him back. I had so many green flags and I dropped him.

 

I was surprised he was still there this morning. He debuted Saturday night defensively.

Damn, nice add. How was he unowned?

 

I was gonna pick him up but the power numbers in the minors were kind of uninspiring, so despite the prospect pedigree I just went with Eguy Rosario instead. With that said, I think he's been pegged as a guy that's a swing change away from becoming a really valuable asset, his GB rate is gross. Already has one 110 mph batted ball in the MLB so the raw power is there. Good pickup for Spanky.
