The initial polls said these changes would take place this offseason IIRC but I have decided we will implement them just before the NPD (which will probably be March 1 ish depending on how the MLB offseason and 2021 schedules shakes down).

You can select previous seasons in Fantrax, through same click that let's you move between leagues.

 

I can't remember the weighting factors used for 2019 and 2020 to set pick order. Something like 70/30 or something.

Thanks Jimmy, I knew there had to be a way but I hadn't found it.

 

Me finishing 5th really didn't do me any favours. My team is closer to 8-12 than top 5.

This will be the weighting order for the 2021 draft lottery:

 

 

The 12 non-playoff teams simply have their 2020 and 2019 win percentages combined. 50-50 weighting on each season.

The lottery odds will be very flat. I have not decided exactly how to do it, but the teams near the top here should not exactly expect to have a high pick.

We are going to draw for every pick too. So, teams near the top could fall back several picks.

Playoff teams will just be slotted in the order of their final playoff standings, 2020 win % as a tiebreaker if needed.

 

For the odds, easiest thing to do is just something like, truncate or round at 3 decimal points and give teams a number of balls equal to the difference between 1 and their combined win %. So Spanky would get 602 balls and FTD would get 481
