Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Literally ever move he's done has backfired. Not singing Nylander to an extension Bertuzzi although looking a bit better lately hasn't been good Klingberg is a complete write off, maybe the worst defensive player in the league Domi done nothing Gave Reaves a 3 year contract who is completely unplayable at this point. Ya. His FA's haven't been the best thus far.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Leafs are winning the Cup!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Panarin who is a winger got 7/11.6 AAV and that was 4 years ago. Plus as a UFA teams won't have to give up anything so should pay his full market value. I think he at least gets 12 on the open market but I could also seem him taking a bit less to stay in Toronto. And Tkachuk signed at 9.5, we won't know til you find out.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Literally ever move he's done has backfired. Not singing Nylander to an extension - they tried something will get done. Bertuzzi although looking a bit better lately hasn't been good he's adjusted, should be good from here on out Klingberg is a complete write off, maybe the worst defensive player in the league never got this move, agreed. Domi done nothing same as Bertuzzi Gave Reaves a 3 year contract who is completely unplayable at this point. Disappointing no doubt, though he's a playoff acquisition Meh...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 They should have locked him up a few years ago. Now he's going to get top $ They did, many thought he was way overpaid, myself included, turned out that contract was a bargain. Anyhow Willy said he'd take a hometown break if the other guys did, and AM34 did so, balls in his court, should be reasonable.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 The big question can the Leafs win a Stanley Cup with a core of Matthews, Marner and Nylander? Still hasn't happened and doubt it happens this season. Of course they can. It’s just about finding the right supporting cast. Their odds of winning with those 3 are better than winning without that trio.

Hometown discount would have been signing for the same as McKinnon and McDavid. Willy will be looking to reset the market for Wingers.

He took the least amount he could on the market, he could've gotten a lot more.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Leafs are winning the Cup! Absolutely. We just have no idea what year that will be is all.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Meh... how is Reaves a playoff acquisition? Aren't useless enforcers typically left off the playoff roster? I thought he was a moronic signing. It's not 1996. I didn't get Klingberg either. Bertuzzi and Domi are fine. Obviously their scoring will go down on a team like the Leafs who already have the high end guys to score. They both just need to be the gritty, dirty work guys.

I'm not sure putting the 4th line enforcer on the ice more often is going to help with that. You need real players who are tough/gritty to change that. Domi and Bertuzzi kind of fill that need. Reaves is a joke.

Reaves isn't playing in the playoffs. If he does, that's a problem. What they need is a Top 6 forward, and a Top 9 forward that can actually PLAY....and still beat your ass if you get out of line. Players that have fists but can't play (or can't play anymore, in Simmonds case) are not what they need. Edited November 27, 2023 by Krylian
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 The Leafs have one of the best core groups of forwards but there is a lot of holes on the roster still. As it stands they are in more in the top 8-12 teams in the League than the top 5 so the new GM is going to have his work cut out for him.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 The Oilers have dug themselves so deep, I wonder if they can make the dance? Hmm...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Did Perunovich f*** Berube's wife or what? St. Louis fans, looking at you wilko and John Havok?
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 The Oilers have dug themselves so deep, I wonder if they can make the dance? Hmm... They seem to be coming around. I’m gonna say they make the Playoffs. And I hate that f***ing team BTW. Lol
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Matthews have disappeared again. Pops a scattered goal in here and there and that’s about it for his game again this year. So frustrating to watch him and Mitch these days. When they show them on the bench it’s like they’re off in la la land. Bunch of Pussies.
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Leafs are a mid team at best this year. Team defense is so bad, they took a huge step back.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 The rumour is that he f***ed Connor Bedard's mom on a recent moms trip. If true, that's the most NHL thing I've ever heard.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Legendary. The perfect way for CP to end his career.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Bedard could be the next McDavid, but will still always be the guy who’s mom f***ed Corey Perry snd got him kicked off the team
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 I hope Perry asked Connor, "Who's your daddy?" on his way out.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Guess she needed a good stiff Cock, and CP delivered it right in her 5 Hole.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 It's especially funny because Perry was pretty much just brought in for his leadership and to mentor Bedard
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Speaking of mom banging I saw on twitter Dante Bichette banged another player's mom on the team and the Jays knew about it lol.
