BTS Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Why do the Canucks keep doing this?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Murray and Samsanov is a really nice tandem. You guys may not have liked the trade but Murray looks a lot better in a 1A 1B tandem right? Like if you only need him for 41 games he could be awesome. Then in the playoffs you play the healthy or hot one. Yes. Having Samsonov as well makes the Murray deal more tolerable
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Almost 5 million for Makayev ??? Canucks have a history of overpaying on UFA Day. Why stop now
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Yippee, love the Samsonov deal. Right?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I hate that I love the Samsonov deal for Toronto.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I hate that I love the Samsonov deal for Toronto. Who's your fav team these days?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Who's your fav team these days? Sens dumn-dumn.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Paciorietty and Dylan Coughlin to CAR from Vegas for future considerations.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Gaudreau to Columbus. It was them or NJ it seems.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 When was the last time a star player left money on the table from their previous team to sign with a clearly inferior team? This really sucks for Calgary fans.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Sens dumn-dumn. He has much better taste in hockey in that case. Personally I am a die hard, loyal Ottawa and Vancouver fan but I am looking to add a 3rd fav team to my roster.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Yippee, love the Samsonov deal. Stanley Cup in 2023!!!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Samsonov is the perfect high reward signing. Still offers huge potential.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 It was them or NJ it seems. I don't get how Jersey didn't match that offer for his hometown team? Derp!!!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Stanley Cup in 2023!!! That's the goal.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 I don't get how Jersey didn't match that offer for his hometown team? Derp!!! I didn't really see the fit in the first place. Between the Hughes bros, Hischier, Bratt etc, they are already built on small skilled types. I just don't think you get far in the playoffs with smurf team.
Slot Machine Verified Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 I don't get how Jersey didn't match that offer for his hometown team? Derp!!! They did. Its been reported that the Devils offered 10+ million on a seven year deal. Has to be one of the strangest free agent signings ever. People seem to think he had his heart set on going to Philly, but they have no cap space, on account of Chuck Fletcher being the worst GM in the league.

He said it was family but goes to the Blue Jackets? I can see why Philly couldn't make it work but why not go to the Devils? At least they are rebuilding. Maybe he doesn't like the limelight..

JG34 Verified Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Some weird contracts being handed out. Tampa had a couple and now Ottawa with Norris for 8yrs 7.95M AAV.

They should sign a few big guys that can skate, with those guys and take the puck away in the corners etc. Johnny Hockey has me perplexed as to why he didn't sign there.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 People are still saying Nylander is overpriced, I don’t understand how. Whenever I see that I just chuckle to myself and move on. It's a great contract, he's our most valuable trade chip, if they were to do something, he'd bring in a haul.

Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 So Mete, Benn and Jarnkrok in two days and the Leafs are officially out of money. Somebody gotta move via the trade market. Who’s ur bets on? Hope for Holl first.

I agree Holl will be gone, unless the trade Kerfoot but I think he’d leave a bit of a hole.
