Quite honestly one of the worst calls made in NHL playoff history, no doubt.

Jesus, just saw the replay of the No goal….I don’t even comprehend how that is somehow a distinct kicking motion. He’s trying to stop and not run through the net at full speed. Didn’t kick at it at all. Garbage call.

Flames were jobbed by the NHL, simple as that. Egregious call. Fail. I'd be sooo pissed if I were you.

He tried to make it look innocent but he did like an exaggerated stop basically so that he pushed the puck in

It's more than just a redirection where a player just angles their skate and let's the puck hit it

 

I guess the "distinct kicking motion" language would use some work but I do think the intent of the rule makes that a bad goal

If they were playing soccer that's exactly how you'd tap that in. He lunged with his leg and directed it in with the side of his foot. It wasn't a punt style kick, no. But he still directed the puck in, purposely, with his foot.

I'm a Flames fan and I can't say I liked this call in the slightest, but I would definitely want the same call to be made if the Oilers would have scored a goal in this fashion.

Well Hurricanes dominated at home again. Glad for us in that regard, but really hope they put away NYR at NYR this next game. Its amazing how incredible we have been at home, but then when we go on the road look like we have never skated a day in our lives smh.

 

Overall though, I still think the Avs are the team to beat.
