burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Oilers 50-50 was 336K.. I've never once understood the fascination that Canadians (Mostly Western) have with a 50-50 lottery. One of the biggest scams in the world.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Go Leaves Go! Go Jets... oh wait!
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 This is a trash post, my friend. You're a trash post. Canadians and their obsession with feeling validated are the worst.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 (edited) Oilers 50-50 was 336K.. I've never once understood the fascination that Canadians (Mostly Western) have with a 50-50 lottery. One of the biggest scams in the world. It's no more or no less a scam than any other lottery. How much of the pot goes back to the winners of regular lotteries? Is it even 50%? Edited April 13, 2017 by KingKat

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Doesn't the half that people don't win typically go to charity? Lol yes.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 If the Clinton Foundation is the charity it's going to, it's still a scam. I felt it was appropriate to dirty up the NHL thread with politics.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Ughh... bad break on that goal.
ChrisS Verified Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Ughh... bad break on that goal. Yup, of course some s***** goal would tie it up
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Sheeeeeeeit... I thought we'd squeak that win out. *tear drop*
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Sheeeeeeeit... I thought we'd squeak that win out. *tear drop* It's frustrating because they played well at the beginning, and all 3 goals were preventable. These weren't some legit dirty shots or creative plays or anything. Andersen played well, but both the tying and OT goal have to be stopped.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Doesn't the half that people don't win typically go to charity? Meant more it scams people into thinking its a great deal because they have the chance to win that much money. Everytime I go to a game I hear "Oh the 50-50 is up to 40K I better go get my ticket!" And then I hear about these people complain about $10 beer prices after throwing away $20 for 50-50 tickets.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 This will be the closest game of the series. Hope the kids learn something during the process of getting swept.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Man, anyone looking to market the NHL should just show people this Washington Toronto OT tonight. f***ing crazy action
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 This is the best hockey game I've seen in some time.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 This is the best hockey game I've seen in some time. Yeah, this has been outstanding
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 This game is what is meant by "playoff experience". This is probably the first time a lot of these kids have played an 80 minute and counting game. Short a man on defense too. Win or lose the Leafs come out better for having gone through this.
