TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 i cant remember the last time they were 15 games above 500 Got to dig deep into the memory banks for that one...last year when they were still 15 games over in August.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 This Pirates reliever Mike Zagurski is just disgustingly fat. I'm actually having trouble watching him. He looks like a cross between Jonah Hill and Chuck from the goonies.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 The PTI guys said if Washington gets swept by Atlanta, Washington's season is all but over. Oh, well that seals it. Two baseball illiterate idiots say it, so it must be so. You are such a goddamn simpleton, go away.

deadlee Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Baltimore Orioles having a wonderful time at the mound today... Hamels gives up back to back to back jacks to the tigers, throws at the next batter, gets ejected... reliever comes in, gives up 2 singles and promptly serves up a grandsalami to Cabrera... 9-1 O's (7 runs in the innings, 0 outs)
deadlee Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 This might be one for the record books... back to back to back jacks, followed by a grand slam... #everythinghasalreadybeendoneinbaseball
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 How do you spell M.V.P.? - @DannyKnoblerCBS: Miguel Cabrera after that grand slam: .373, 17, 65. It's June 1, and this is the Tigers' 54th game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Tigers with a very Tigers-like eight-run 4th against Baltimore: Homer Homer Homer HBP Single Double Walk Homer (Grand Slam) Still nobody out!! Cabrera is out if control...
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 He is, but Chris Davis has been even better. Cabrera will have to settle for second. Davis: .356/.441/.742 (210 wRC+) Cabrera: .371/.447/.679 (198 wRC+) Q. Who is more likely to continue hitting like this and win the MVP. Davis or Cabrera? A. Cabrera Cabrera will also finish with a LOT more RBI, due mostly to hitting 3rd rather than 5th. Sadly, that boosts MVP votes as well.
deadlee Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Just caught the end of the PHillies Brewers game.. Down 2-4 in the 9th, Phillies hit a homerun, and then Jroll hits a single, and Charilie Manuel Pinch Runs for him with a PITCHER!!! Kendrick on 2nd, then gets caught napping.. except that the 2B drops the ball, and picks it up with a barehand, and yet the Ump calls it out!!! Egregious mistake, but the umps angle was poor! The next batter then hits a double... which if not for the blown call would have tied the game.. PHillies end up losing 3-4! We're not the only one on the bad side of blown calls i s'pose!

That's the second time Manuel has done that this year, except Galvis bailed him out on that one.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 He's been insane. Davis .488 wOBA, 210 wRC+, 3.3WAR Miggy .468 wOBA, 198 wRC+, 3.3WAR
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Obviously neither can. I was just saying that Miggy hasn't been the MVP so far. AL Davis Vs Miggy NL Votto Vs Cailito Gomez
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Rick Porcello vs. the Orioles so far: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 SO What a turnaround this guy has had. One of the best pitchers in baseball in May, he's carrying it over to June. Very bizarre case. After was destroyed by the Angels he has been very good.
