Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Nick Franklin making a quick impact with a 2 HR game... anybody see that coming? Absolutely. He's been destroying AAA pitching. Between him and Wacha, my rookie gambles are paying off. Hope Gibson and Yelich do the same. It's hard to believe the good prospects that have been available with that new roster spot. Edited May 31, 2013 by Grant77
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Jake Marisnick hit two grandslams and has 9 RBI tonight and f***ing s*** I hate these trades.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Jake Marisnick hit two grandslams and has 9 RBI tonight and f***ing s*** I hate these trades. He was also hitting .227 with 5 walks to 34 k's before today's game.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Michael Wacha's MLB debut: 7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K. Stud. Those pesky f***ing Cardinals.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I remember last year at draft time I didn't want any part of Wacha because he sounded like McGuire and Jenkins. Some guy without a breaking ball who could make the Majors quickly. But nope, the Cards take him and now he's a freaking superstar. Some voodoo s*** going on with the Cards' player development. Aside from Rasmus, I can't recall a player they developed that hasn't bloomed. (Even Rasmus gave some value to that org)

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Speaking of the Cards, with Mujica unavailable (pitched 4 days in a row), they cough up the lead in the 9th. Now 4-2 KC and a rain delay.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Yankees getting desperate. They're recalling Youk and Teixeira for the Red Sox series after each have had only 2 rehab games.

Seems like every year they have a couple of young studs that crack their roster and blossom. Taveras still on his way.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Ridiculously disgusting. Looks like a dick out of the pants.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I didn't want to start a new thread about this, but is everyone ready to see EE start at third tonight?

bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Eddie could always pick it, but had the yips. His whole game was a mess at the time. He has to be way more confident now and could see him being over that. He has made some nice throws to 2nd to start DPs where he has had to throw around the runner. ...or it will completely destroy him

Toronto is featured heavily on that list... I find it pretty funny that Chris Davis only has 6 homers on the "would have been out of any park" list, meaning that Bautista and MOTHAf***IN JPA would have hit more homers if all parks were as big as the biggest parks

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Miggy is absolutely on fire! Another home run in the first inning.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Oh boy.. Stephen Strasburg has left with an injury at the Washington/Atlanta game. Could be a devastating blow if he needs a DL stint--especially with Atlanta dominating the division. Apparently it's a neck/shoulder issue. Keep an eye on this. The PTI guys said if Washington gets swept by Atlanta, Washington's season is all but over.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 reported. Dude, JPA gets around, you don't think he's had his share of mothers? No matter your opinion of him as a s***** baseball player, the man gets lots of "gash" (Apparently people are calling it gash lately, that sounds kinda gross to me, but who am I to argue with the mob?)
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 If Pittsburgh doesn't blow it in the 2nd half like they did in 2011 and 2012. No guarantees.
