  1. Its ball busting dude
  2. The sport is far too technical nowadays to just draft or sign players and take your hands off the wheel. Even a prodigy like Vlad gets smoked by 40 FVs because they are in orgs with super duper magic dust data that tell them where and what to throw. I'm become more and more convinced that players are becoming increasing less valuable in terms of actual talent level and more valuable based on how they can just digest and execute what orgs tell them. The job of a GM now is not just to draft and acquire guys with tools. He has to establish processes and put coaches in place that tell these players precisely what to do at all times like complete robots. And I don't think we do that at all.
  3. Damn the Sox will grab Click
  4. Imagine comparing Manoah to Stroman.
  5. Sawchik tweeted that Vlads average launch angle on pulled fastballs is -7 this year.
  6. We gotta be up there in terms of pitching health and that's especially important because we have no depth
  7. Texas is mentally broken after the Ragans trade. Crippling trade on the field and clubhouse
  8. Agreed. He's like a weird test case
  9. His csw% is 34 too. That's a really bad number. His K% might baloon soon unless he adjusts, which he might, who knows
  10. It's hard to find comps for a contact% that obscenely low. It's like Gallo, Sano and Keston Hiura level
  11. The SEA is logical. The annoying thing is having to trade your cleanup hitter because you can't find a reliever otherwise.
  12. Sorry for criticizing them man it won't happen again I promise
  13. Don't need one I'm not Manoah
  14. All our fat ass players have seen their performance fall off a cliff this year. If you think there's a negative to being in shape you're a moron. These guys being this fat is pathetic with the money they make, end of story. They can get f***ing candy coated chocolate steak with 0 calories if they wanted.
  15. The Braves are completely disgusting
  16. Dominguez was average against the AA sticky ball. Every pitcher was ripping rise balls. Once they changed balls he nuked the league. And he'd nuke AAA too, they don't even have mlb strike zones.
  17. He was fine as a setup guy but when asked to close he's now vomiting all over himself. But imagine being in that clubhouse fighting and clawing for the playoffs and the guy you traded is literally the best pitcher in baseball in the last 30 days and he was pitching mop up for you last month LOL
  18. Trading Ragans for Chapman then just watching Chapman melt down immediately must take the wind out of your sails lol
  19. Ya Tim Anderson was abnormal too until he wasn't. I'd rather not bet on a guy being a complete anomaly.
  20. His baserunning and D are trending down as he ages. His value is all tied in his ability to run a 5% walk rate and swing 40% out of the zone. Its an insane bet no one should make if there's a trade out there.
  21. I wouldn't extend Bichette either. Guy is losing tons of athleticism with that dirty bulk and has no plate discipline.
  22. Well the FO has to find a way to rebuild the system quickly or they're out. And Vlad is highly highly unlikely to be worth a long term deal that he'd sign so.. Hard decisions must be made
  23. This is like a fantasy league rage quit
  24. We're going to stumble into Clement. He's got a different stance than last year and more line drivey
  25. We do have a really expensive staff. Our rotation is worth about 100M and all our bullpen is either signed or traded for. These guys are all vetrin pitchers. If his job is to strictly deal with whoever shows up in the MLB clubhouse and literally nothing else then he's fine I guess. If his job is any sort of development then he's done nothing. Manoah is in Siberia right now. I just remember Aaron Sanchez throwing a sinker and a curveball and wondering how we couldn't figure out that those 2 pitches don't work together. I'm also biased against an old guy from an old regime. There's no way he keeps up with the Mariners especially when he drinks. But then again, what material does he have to work with because the guys that get to the show are dudes with fastball profiles from 2004. I look at Woo from the Mariners. He has legit stuff but nothing at all vs LHBs. A couple months in the show and now he has 2 different sliders. One optimized for LHB. But then again he actually has talent.
