  1. We got him for his elite defense and league average offense. He is no middle of the order bat.
  2. Another baserunning out this ST. The team is practicing these really well.
  3. It is just ST .. but another CS. Runner on 1st and 3rd and 1 out. Bo gets caught stealing second. At least the Blue Jays are doing their part to shorten games.
  4. Merrifield got CS at 3rd base (2nd time this spring at least). Bo got picked off at 2nd base. What exactly is the team learning here? Do they really intend on being aggressive when on 2nd? That's just retarded. Stealing 3rd is one of the dumbest moves in baseball.
  5. I really hope these baserunning outs are just the team experimenting in ST. Even if it is, it is getting tiring because the experimenting has been a total failure so far. It seems the team is surrendering an average of 3 baserunning outs per game.
  6. Keyword is "upside". Tiedemann's upside is easily a #1.
  7. 20 year old lefty throws 97-99 FB, plus slider, and plus-plus change up. If this is not #1 upside, what is exactly?
  8. He averaged 93.5 last year. I hope he can ramp up to that by the season opener.
  9. Pretty good squads from both teams. ST games are ramping up to opening day squads earlier because of WBC probably.
  10. Your classification of these changes as stupid has no basis. The fact the majority of people like the changes means that MLB made a smart decision; these changes will likely improve the experience for the majority of its fans.
  11. Don't teams play regulars in home spring games mostly? What compelled the Tigers to send their s***** minor leaguers today? It is not like their first team is any better than Buffalo.
  12. Great job by the Blue Jays speeding up the game and graciously providing the Rays with 33% of their outs so far.
  13. I really hope this is just for ST experimentation. If this base running continues into the season, we'd probably be the worst base-running team in baseball.
  14. This is great to see. Congrats to Father Kirk.
  15. When I'm gone When I'm gone You're gonna miss me when I'm gone You're gonna miss me by my flair You're gonna miss me everywhere, oh You're gonna miss me when I'm gone When I'm gone When I'm gone You're gonna miss me when I'm gone You're gonna miss me by my walk You're gonna miss me by my talk, oh You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
  16. Agreed. Something significant needs to happen for Tiedemann to pitch in Toronto. If Kikuchi becomes reasonably effective, then there is simply no room for him barring an injury or a trade. It is not the worst outcome for him to build up his innings load in AA and AAA throughout 2023.
  17. Some reasons: 1- He looked great, but it was just one inning. 2- If Kikuchi and White and other depth options suck, we will probably see him Tiedemann in 2023. But if Kikuchi starts performing like a respectable #4, then the rotation would be full barring an injury or a trade. 3- While Tiedemann could be better than most of the pitchers in the current rotation, he is not on the 40 man roster. There is some asset management aspect to the decision.
  18. Great play by Chapman and Vladdy.
  19. It was pretty f***ing good. Biggio is a pretty good OF actually.
  20. Unfortunate for him that he is Glassnow instead of Glassnot. So close to being healthy. I will see myself out.
  21. The overreaction of Orelvis's meh season spilled over to the commentator booth.
  22. We lost the trade.
