    Man, what a get well series. Belt and Varsho breaking out recently is massive. Hopefully vlad is back tuesday.

    I think they have stuff numbers for some AAA leagues but apparently SWR numbers are pretty good. ThereÂ’s a decent chance heÂ’s a starting pitcher as soon as this year in the bigs.

    I think we might be identifying the right guys but there is some disconnect in development. Either not the right guys for our dev team or our dev team isn’t great. Three of those guys came from orgs that have a strong reputation for pitching dev. I think taking someone out of an elite environment into a lesser one can have an impact.

    What do we think of canning Atkins and hiring Click as GM. He’s in house and he’s an obvious upgrade. That poll of front office executives that clearly showed that we are not considered to be cutting edge by other orgs was super telling to me. We don’t have to keep a guy because he is simply above average. Especially if you could line someone like Click up. I worry about losing him after this season. Edit: this could all happen after the season but i’d love to see this happen. If they needed to have informal talks with Click now do that.

    I’ve been saying we are an average to above average FO for years. Its kind of obvious. We have a guy in house who led one of the 2/3 best FOs in baseball and came from the best one. I don’t see how he wouldn’t be an upgrade.

    Bloom was a fantastic hire. It wouldn’t be the worst thing ever if this year was a bit of a reset and they turfed Atkins and hired Click as GM. We aren’t a bad FO but we obviously aren’t elite.

    The fact that they had to trade for someone like White after being in charge for so long is a direct org failure. I’d say that the fact that they drafted Frasso in the first place is reason for optimism tho.

    I’d like to point out that Terminator was calling out all the idiots who didn’t believe in Atkins vis a vis pitching just before this slump. I’m not saying i totally believe in jinxes or that he should be tarred and feathered or anything but something needs to be done.

    We scored a lot of runs in the last 3 games we lost.

    Its definitely an organizational choice. If we could develop pitching the way smart teams do, we would probably have done so already. However, i still think we make the playoffs this year.

    Manoah is a cheap pitcher even if he is our 5th pitcher. Most teams would be happy to have him. Also, if you expect this FO to EVER prioritize strikeouts, then you won’t be happy.

    This feels like a series where we lose 4 games by one run each.

    It’s still early but this FO has many good qualities but they aren’t the kind of ‘smart’ FO that finds nasty pitchers out of nowhere. This division is just so hard. We would be good to go in like 4 other divisions or 3 at least.

    Atkins knows how to put together a bullpen lol. It’s early and we’ve had a good start. No where near panicking yet. It always seems to be the pen tho..

    I think it was terminator but can’t remember. It was a real suck it everyone who ever doubted atkin’s ability to put together a pen type comment lol.

    Can we blame the guy who was taking a victory lap about how our bullpen is now awesome? I feel like that was an obvious jinx.

    Didn’t Belt’s preseason start late? I’d give him until the end of May at least i think.

    He def got lucky with the strike zone and hard hit balls. I still think the hitting could have been better though.

    The problem is the hitting tonight imo. Not sure if guys just have to play themselves into better form or not. Biggio… i dunno. Sometimes he doesn’t look like a major leaguer.
