  1. If you could guarantee me that atkins is gone if we miss the playoffs and replaced by guys from the Rays/Astros… I’ll take the L this season.
  2. I love all the yahoos on Twitter with their info about how they knew Charlie lost the clubhouse pre firing but didn’t post it til now. Sure..
  3. I don’t think we could get proper value that way.
  4. We are way too close to be out of the playoffs to sell from the major league roster at this point. That ship has sailed.
  5. If we had league average pitching the month before that, he could have had the exact same 10 game stretch and kept his job. I do feel pretty bad for him. But it’s the job of a manager to be the fall guy.
  6. Can we make a list of players who are that affected by their manager not being rah rah that they forget that performance = money and not re-sign them.
  7. Yea, I didn’t write it very clearly. Sorry about that.
  8. One upside of this is that you only get to fire so many managers. So, maybe if we tank to the end of the season we might get some changes in the FO.
  9. I’d like this front office to pay more attention to performance.
  10. I’m not saying it’s the pitching coaches problem. I’m saying pitching is the problem and the manager is way down the list of people who could be responsible for that.
  11. He’s not going to fire himself.
  12. Managers are always the scapegoat for bad front office performance. I don’t see how you fire the manager and not the pitching coach. That’s been the problem.
  13. Sarris was saying on their podcast that drop off release point can indicate that someone is carrying an injury sometimes. It would make sense that someone like berrios who is never out could be practiced at playing through issues that would sideline other players. On the Jansen/Moreno thing. I think that trading Jansen now at this point can’t be done. We need to win games right now with urgency. I also think you can’t trade Moreno now. I’d want to see if the power will come back the further he gets away from his thumb injury.
  14. It looks like they are playing at home and there is no way it’s rained out in Vancouver today. It’s glorious weather.
  15. Great win battling some rotten luck.
  16. Yea, very interesting. I like law. Disagree with him a bit but he never really hedges.
  17. That Jansen at bat was just unlucky.
  18. I’d guess that if you looked at it over a long period of time there would be no rhyme or reason to who is good or bad at that .
  19. Law has us taking Jordan Beck and the Sox taking Rocker right after.
  20. He seems to be dealing with some injuries. He’s had a few spells out. But yea, he is super intriguing. I feel like when he gets an extended spell in front of him, he will explode.
  21. Law called him a 40 at first base which kind of means he doesn’t have a position. He also says he profiles platoon.
  22. No fundamentals, fire the manager, bench players for messing up, players having too much fun… I’ve almost got a whole line in losing team fan bingo!
  23. We aren’t conceding s***. Athletes aren’t like fans.
  24. Gabriel Martinez. Just listened to the pod. If our FO thinks like Law, I think he’ll be protected.
  25. The abyss might have nasty stuff. Could be a good thing.
