  1. I think it's pretty clear that Merryweather is really "that good". His stuff is incredible, and he can command it. The only question is, can he stay healthy?
  2. 8 K's in 4 and 2/3 innings for the bullpen today. This bullpen is going to strike a lot of muthaf***a's out this season. Hopefully they can keep the walks down though.
  3. Matz has looked really good, why would they put Zeuch ahead of him potentially?
  4. Does anyone else think that maybe Orelvis is the Jays best position player prospect? Kid is just 19 and had a way better showing than either Martin or Groshans in ST this year. Small sample size, but the kid is an unstoppable monster with the bat.
  5. Thornton with another strong outing. Any chance he can be for real now that his elbow is all cleaned up? Generating a lot of swing and miss so far.
  6. I wonder if Rosenthal was ever an option. I mean, if the Jays knew Yates was a risky enough signing to reduce the offer from 8.5 to 5.5, why not just add a couple million and offer that to Rosenthal instead? Again, assuming he was an option and willing to sign with the Jays.
  7. Phelps K's the side. 14 K's for the Jays staff today, against only 1 walk and 4 hits.
  8. Pretty sure I read somewhere that they told Chatwood they plan to use him in high leverage situations as a reliever, and so he's prepared himself to step into that role. But yeah, Matz and Ray look pretty damn good so far.
  9. Lol Dolis, Liriano, Romano and Borucki have K'ed 10 of 12 batters with no walks and just one hit.
  10. I'd say Mayza is looking like the best option for the 2nd lefty out of the pen behind Borucki so far. Not on the 40 man though, probably have to DFA Bergen to clear a spot.
  11. Romano Ks three in the 9th. 13 Ks and only 1 BB for the staff today. All MLB regulars more than likely. Impressive work.
  12. 11 Ks thru 7 for jays pitchers but 7 walks as well. Have to clean that up. And Luciano is having a rough spring. Too bad, he's still very young but I was hoping he'd be one of many dark horses. Nice bounce back outing for Allgeyer though.
  13. Espinal with a lead off double, and then three regulars fail to cash him in (Teo, Rowdy, Jansen)
  14. Manoah K's Dietrich then gets DJLM to ground into a double play to end the inning. Fastball 96-98mph Slider around 85 mph
  15. Aw man, Jiminez was up with bases loaded and nobody out and Orelvis was on deck. f***ing Phillies
  16. According to MLB Ray threw 26 pitches, 24 of them for strikes...is that right? That's a good sign if true.
  17. That's a whole lot of pitchers that i want to see tomorrow. The game isn't on TV though is it? Like, every single f***ing guy I want to watch every pitch they throw, except for maybe Liriano.
  18. lol Got me. I was supremely annoyed that the Red Sox had acquired Kris Bryant. Then extremely relieved that they hadn't.
  19. Exactly. Now, if the Rockies want to include Story with Marquez, that's the basis for a massive blockbuster. Jays would need to be pretty certain they could get Story extended though, and that one of him or Bo would be fine moving to 3rd.
  20. That'd be 3 of our top 10 prospects? Way too much.
  21. Odorizzi is an if too. He's not guaranteed to be a better option than Ray or Pearson. He's just a way more expensive 'if that wants multiple years of commitment.
  22. Hopefully the Jays are in contention and swing a deal for a guy like Luis Castillo or German Marquez mid season.
