Yeah, if only Gausman and his 2.67 ERA / 3.0 fWAR would just pitch better
lulz
Him being 5-5 is a f***ing travesty
His team mates don't help him enough.
Seeing as they just signed Kikuchi to a 3 year deal with starter money, I bet he'll get a lot of rope to find consistency.
Hopefully he doesn't hang himself with it.
He had a 2.36 ERA / 2.65 FIP in May (5 starts) and that includes 2 starts vs the Yankees.
I sure wish the Jays had more swing and miss in their bullpen
0-2 right away on Cabrera and he can't finish him after 8 pitches
EDIT: Nice, got him on the 9th
I noticed the Grichuk/Tapia trade thread hadn't been bumped in a while, so I went and looked up how Grich had been doing lately
lol
Not so good
.680 OPS
79 wRC+
-0.5 fWAR
He a right handed and more expensive Tapia
I'll say it again...
Raimel Tapia with his 69 wRC+, .600 OPS and -0.6 WAR
Has almost as many PAs this season as....
Alejandro Kirk with his 155 wRC+, .891 OPS and 1.9 WAR
And that's with Danny Jansen hurt for most of the season so far!
What the f***?
I wouldn't mind seeing the Jays go after both Quintana and Bednar from the Pirates if Ryu is indeed FUBAR for the season.
I'd say Reynolds too, but that wouldn't be cheap and I doubt the Jays FO has too much interest in paying that price when he's struggling this season and I also wonder how inclined they would be to break up the "Barrio"
Ah f*** it. Jays should definitely kick tires on a package for Quintana/Bednar/Reynolds.
That's a big fat pile of exactly what they need IMO.
Mid rotation / back end lefty starter
High leverage reliever/closer with multiple years of control that can miss bats
Switch hitting OF with multiple years of control so we can get rid of Zimmer and stop playing Tapia so much
I noticed that of all our relievers to have pitched more than 10 innings in relief, Richards is the only one with a negative fWAR
He's also pitched the most innings...
Boy, if you are struggling Montoyo is not afraid to give you more than enough rope to hang yourself.
I'm still hoping Merryweather doesn't actually suck and figures out how to get fixed.
His FIP and xFIP are still decent so there is some hope I think. Plus his short stint in AAA showed swing and miss too (SSS)
Plus Mayza will be back soon too I hope
Yeah Bednar would be a fricken awesome add
I guess Rosenthal was throwing 95-96mph at his showcase the other day. Haven't seen much else reported, hopefully he looked good enough that the Jays are after him.
