    Something interesting I noticed about Cimber, in 2018 when he was with the Padres he was K'ing over a batter per inning in 50 innings then he got traded to Cleveland and his K rate tanked. Pitch mix says he started throwing alot more sinkers and less 4 seamers and sliders. K rate hasnt really recovered since. Wonder if there is potential in him to K more batters with some pitch mix adjustments. Maybe Pete Walker can unlock some of that strikeout stuff again.

    At least Cimber is a low walk guy for his career. Wont come in and walk 3 guys in an inning like everyone else in our pen. And Dickerson is wayyy better than Panik who was providing nothing for the team.

    I mean it IS an upgrade. The team is better with Cimber and Dickerson now.

    According to Craig Mish the Jays have traded for Corey Dickerson. Also picking up Cimber. Panik and a minor leaguer heading the Marlins way.

    Sulser and Fry would be nice pickups from the Orioles. Probably would be too expensive though.

    AAs failure was more on the development side I guess. Drafted decent but could just never develop those guys. Although I suppose drafting and development are two sides of the same coin.

    I mean I dont think you can fake exit velo. If Taylor is consistently hitting the ball harder than he has in the past and not just hitting wall scraper after wall scraper then the power could be for real. The front office has that type of info and could make the judgement that this is for real.

    But when you have a lineup just full of righties wouldn't it make it easier to pitch to? A team like the Rays or Dodgers would just abuse the one dimensional aspect of the team in a 7 game series.

    Anyone a little bit concerned by how right handed heavy our entire org is becoming? Tellez, Biggio are the only lefites of importance at the big league level (Tellez might not be with how hes playing). At AAA you got Smith whos a righty, Wall whos a righty, only Palacios whos a lefty. At AA its even more glaring, Martin, Moreno, Groshans, Lopez, Taylor all righties. Or does this not matter and a good player is a good player.

    That interview pretty much confirms that all managers these days are just Yes Men that take orders from the front office and don't have any say in what goes on.

    So how many innings would Degrom have to throw to NOT win the CY assuming he keeps pitching like he is now? 100? 120?

    Why are people s***ing on this lmao its a minor league contract. If he looks like crap at AAA then he gets cut and if he looks good he gets a shot. And he was actually solid for us when he last pitched. Had a 3.4 xERA in 51 innings. That isnt anything to laugh at. If he actually is 94-98 its worth a shot. Read that hes been working in a pitching "lab" too.
