    Well hes said as much in interviews lol. he was embarrassed by the shape he came into summer camp and apologized to his teammates. he pretty much immediately started to rectify the problem and started to lose weight starting from the end of july.

    If you guys dont see a big difference between Vlads weight at the start of summer camp to now, then idk get your eyes checked or something. He looks to have lost a substantial portion of his gut. Vlad on July 14 Vlad two nights ago. Could just be the angles but looks to have lost quite a bit from his gut.

    Speaking of Vlad he does look like hes lot a ton of weight since the season started. I wonder with Tellez coming back hopefully in time for the playoffs, do you move Vlad back to third with Tellez at 1st and Kirk DH whenever he doesnt catch?

    So our lineup probably looks something like this for the rest of the year until Teo comes back. Biggio 2B Gurriel LF Bichette SS Grichuk CF Guerrero DH Shaw 1B Fisher RF Jansen C Villar/Panik 3B Not exactly awe inspiring. We will really need Guerrero and Shaw to step it up. Even Biggio has been pretty s***** last couple of weeks, need him to step it up too. Man the lineup could have been something really special with everyone healthy. Just the fact that one of our TWO elite positional prospects blossomed into a corner stone piece should make people ecstatic but nooooooo people have to s*** on the 21 yo for being league average.

    Its not his bat speed, its his reactions/hand eye/pitch recognition. If his bat speed was gone he wouldnt be hitting the ball hard like he still is WHEN he does hit it.

    Hasnt been just his sprint speed. hes near bottom of the barrel in just about every statcast reading.

    All his numbers have moved in the wrong direction this year. I dont think looking at last years performance is a good idea with him.
