  1. They did leave Cleveland the same year the team took the next big step in 2016 for the record lol. Now they put us in a great spot and let's hope they can put us over the hump by making the final few required additions.
  2. Agreed but we still need at least 1 more top end pitcher that we'd be confident putting out there in the playoffs. Then we need to work the same magic for the bullpen and our team is complete.
  3. The answer is the 3 other bullpen arms that get hurt in the process plus Merryweather who goes back to the IL for whatever you can think of lol
  4. Why the hell does Panik get any reps over Espinal at 3B again?
  5. What does Vlad write on the ground with his bat before he steps in the batters box?
  6. This has been said for a long long time. He has blackmail material of someone important for sure lol
  7. A single can score a run from 3rd or even 2nd while a walk does not. A walk is clearly not the same thing as a single...
  8. I like that we're using Springer at DH instead of a full day off but don't like that Gurriel isn't playing for the sake of Panik.
  9. Damn... Ryu's outing just became bad for his numbers just like that...
  10. Reese with another pathetic tag. I can recall at least 3 plays he's botched at home because he doesn't know where or how to catch the ball.
  11. Yes, we invested the most bullpen money into a player who failed his physical while cheaping out on the rest. Of course injuries have been a concern but the whole world knew our pitching was a mess to begin with. You get what you pay for and we're getting exactly that...
  12. Everyone knew our pitching was going to be our weak point this season. The fact our management didn't add more to their glaring weakness looks bad on them. Especially when we have plenty of salary room to make it happen. Our management decided to save that salary space for the trade deadline but we might have lost too many games by that point...
  13. Always give Pete Walker this pitching guru status but clearly he can't work any magic with the scrubs in our bullpen...
  14. Because Panik and Tellez have batted ahead of players that they're worse than all year too. Montoyo has already stated that he likes to split the lefties
  15. My book prefers to have the better hitters getting more at bats. Biggio is clearly only batting 6th because he's a lefty so it has nothing to do with his OBP. But it's not a massive issue, still love the calibre of players we're trotting out there. Best hitting lineup in baseball.
  16. I'd switch Gurriel and Biggio, lefty/lefty thing be dammed. Reese is playing amazing but imagine once Kirk comes back, 0 eats outs lol.
  17. Not sure if this belongs here but Montreal going to the Stanley Cup Finals has to sting for the Leaf die hards lol
  18. I'm all for it. Having some dickheads on your team isn't the worst thing. Find a way to get Maeda with Donaldons contract as the "penalty."
  19. Adams goes back to the minors while Moreno stays there all season. Move Moreno to AAA and then call him up in September if anything Reese is the tricky one since he's out of options and if we waive him now, he'll certainly get claimed. I'd try to keep him in the backup role for as long as possible by making Jansen/Kirk put some work in AAA before rejoining the big club again. Then it's a simple matter of survival of the fittest.
