I've played baseball and basketball at decent levels. I'm a below average athlete in basketball but considered extremely athletic when playing baseball. There's a reason for that but whatever. I'm OK with ending this topic lol.
I said excluding injuries resulting from pitching and swinging the bat since those motions aren't natural. Thought it would be universally assumed baseball players are in the worst shape of all major sport athletes.
Ah well... screw the topic. Jays in a tight one...
Did I say Blue Jays only here? I meant baseball players in general. In comparison to athletes from other major sports, baseball players are clearly in the worst shape. It's what happens when the sport has you either being stationary or sprinting.
It's just a simple comparison of baseball players vs other athletes. It's a non contact sport for the most part so most of these non pitching/swinging related injuries just shows how bad of shape some guys are in.
It's beyond bad man. The amount on non contact injuries shows how horrible shape most players are in. Any injury other than pitching or swinging related typically make me shake my head.
I think this might happen once Springer and Biggio come on-board. Right now we don't have better options than him so we're stuck there. Sucks because I was really pulling for him.
Then blame the "high performance" department that they've been bragging about all this time. Better off spending that money on actual baseball players lol
