Freeman is not the guy we need to overpay for. Of course if love him on the team but he's not the perfect fit like a Jose Rameriz.

On Tim and Friends, Tim said it was changed this past January so a couple a months ago.

I have been refreshing for the past 4 hours hoping something will break I'm so happy baseballs back!
  4. Jays24
Hes just defending the guy in his avatar after his emotional presser today lol
  5. Jays24
I remember I wanted the Jays to go after him so badly when he was with the Pirates.
  6. Jays24
Doesn't have to be Bryant, Chapman/Ramirez/Story will do too lol.
  7. Jays24
Ya I think Schwarber and Bryant might only cost a little more yearly while being less overall than a 6 year deal to Freeman.
  8. Jays24
I just can't see him and Freeman together but i do hope we get at least one of them. Would love a Ramirez and Schwarber combo #CaptainObvious
  9. Jays24
What does that say about us who traded a prospect for the right to pay him near that amount last year? Lol
  10. Jays24
Carlos has been right a few times so that's the only reason why anyone's pants are tingling. I'd get it if he never got any rumours right. He does seem pretty plugged in.
  11. Jays24
That was my first thought too
  12. Jays24
    Ok it's official lol
  13. Jays24
Haha I'd rather save our prospect capital and just spend cash whenever possible. We can always use those prospects to plug future holes.
  14. Jays24
He broke the Semien and Yimi Garcia signings before anyone.

Now that I've let it sink in for 10 minutes... I would go nuts if we got Freeman. That lineup would be absolutely dangerous. CF Springer SS Bo 1B Freeman 3B Vlad LF Teo DH Gurriel C Kirk RF Grichuk 2B Biggio
  16. Jays24
No way... while his bat and defense is amazing... moving Vlad to 3B seems like a crazy move. Our front office must have seen a lot from Vlad in the offseason to do this (if true).

It still surprises me that Sanchez didn't turn into a stud. He was so good for us in his early years that it sucks seeing him like this.

This breaks my heart seeing Donaldson with the Yankees
  19. Jays24
Ya I get that. Deadpool was saying he'd be happy with the lineup he outlined while I said it would be disappointing considering the huge downgrade from Semien to Smith/Espinal.

Reds trade Gray to Twins for pitching prospect https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2315934

I haven't posted all offseason so had no clue there were any restrictions on stuff like this but based on seeing the deleted posts, I guess I know now.
  22. Jays24
I wouldn't say need but more so want after seeing how effective the lineup was when we were fully healthy. It was damn near dominant and covered up a lot of issues with our crappy bullpen. The lineup you posted makes me sad after seeing last year's lineup. We just spent 12M a year on a 5th starter when that money should have been used for a 3B if the lineup you posted is indeed our opening day lineup. I'm more happy with Pearson/Stripling fighting for the 5th spot than I am seeing Espinal/Smith fight for the 3B spot.
  23. Jays24
Villar would be fine if we were looking to replace Espinal or maybe even Biggio but definitely not a player of Semien's calibre. Hope this interest is because of a potential move for Ramirez where we'd need a 2B or a backup utility infielder.
  24. Jays24
After suffering from home field disadvantage for the past 2 seasons, I'm OK from taking advantage of people who still believe in Facebook posts as concrete news.
  25. Jays24
The Jays need to adequately replace Semien. Bryant/Story/Chapman/Ramirez are the calibre of players we need, not a Villar type. That and one more good bullpen arm and we are set to win the world series!
