    So let me get this straight, Shapiro was upset with AA at trading prospects in 2015 for a short term run but now people are talking about mortgaging our farm system for 2/3 year rental? The whole philosophy from Shapiro was "sustainable winning." Any trade for Soto is the opposite of that. Funny how people's perceptions change when it's their ass on the line loll. We're better off keeping our farm system and just spending money in free agency than going down this road. Now if we can keep Soto then it's a totally different situation.

    But wait... isn't Pete Walker the magician that should have been able to "fix" him? Nothing makes me laugh more at how people view that man when our pitching is as bad as it is lol.

    Im not really a fan of giving up too much for a 2.5 year rental but if we had to do it, Teo and Moreno seem like the obvious pieces to give up without hurting our current on field team. Kirk/Jansen have C in a great spot for us while Soto would take over Teos spot in the outfield.

    Based on the numbers... how does Pete Walker still get labelled as a pitcher whisperer? s*** happens lol

    Probably because the expectation of this team was to be elite offensively, not just good. A lot of the main guys have gone backwards from last year so it seems pretty straight forward as to why people aren't happy. Also doesn't help the Yankees are where we'd hoped to be in the standings (ok maybe not that far ahead but still).

    Why the hell does Zimmer get any at bats man? There's Biggio/Tapia on the bench and yet you waste at bats on this scrub prior to the allstar break. Guess we know the lineups weren't Montoyos fault.

    As great as Soto is... no way you're trading all that for a rental even if its Soto. And I thought he had 1.5 years left of control.
