While I'm annoyed about waiting for Ohtani's decision, these reporters take it to another level. Ohtani can drag this to March if he wants to. He doesn't owe it to anyone to make his decision on other people's time. Maybe he entered negotiations only thinking about himself and has now seen there's a chance that he can bring his buddies from Japan (Yamamoto and Lee) along to the same team too. This would take a lot longer for things to get done but the point remains, he owes nobody anything about his decision making process. Also, he has the whole baseball world on the edge of their seats. Guys like me just check in here and there usually but I've been glued to this story the whole time. So you can argue that he's actually bringing more attention to the sport for longer by dragging this along...
