  1. I almost have a 12 wRC+ so far this season.
  2. Newish GM, and a couple kids ready to step up and have impact. And Ohtani can DH when he doesn't pitch. And, this is the fallout after the meeting where essentially (and reportedly) Pujols refused a part time position.
  3. I agree with you. I would rather promote Manoah after the service clock deadline has passed, honestly.
  4. I think Kay is the answer, long term answer, for one rotation spot.
  5. Whew, good. And yeah, I meant compared to the new trainer.
  6. Does anyone else find her incredibly hot?
  7. I am a little more concerned that we will be going 0-for at the catcher position for the foreseeable future.
  8. I second your thoughts! Great way to sum it up...it was sort of an annoyed feeling I had on the subconscious level.
  9. He was also Tom Sellick's replacement in Mr. Baseball. A must watch if you haven't.
  10. Without Googling I think Bill Caudill was a bad signing. Adjusting for current dollars it was a huge contract at the time.
  11. Mike Wilner said that that there was a lengthy investigation that resulted in a definitive result. MLB would not have done this unless there was a clear trail.
  12. I agree. If he is not < 95% and he re-injures himself I will be super angry. He is ours for 5-years. He doesn't have to come back before he is ready. Hopefully he was held back because Scherzer.
  13. Yeah, I was really puzzled, too. Maybe they didn't want him back versus Scherzer? That is what I am thinking now.
  14. it's a pain in the ass. Sorry. I will show myself out.
  15. I think the $500K salary/year is thanks enough. And the per diems probably help.
  16. A few days ago they (The SN/Jays panel) threw up some numbers and graphics that showed he was either number one, or close to it, in terms of defensive metrics for catchers for the league. I haven't actually looked at the fWAR. Throwing runners out if super important, but so are a million other things as catcher. But, in sum, Jansen's offense has to improve. He's like the auto-out on a slowpitch team that only has 9 players show. Kirk hasn't been much better, but he is starting to barrel up his contact at least. A team strength going into this season is weirdly one of the weaknesses, albeit with a SSS. But if I am triaging, I fix 3B first.
  17. I know this doesn't work, but I would play Espinal at 3B as much as possible. I like him there defensively, a lot, and I think he has a shot to be a plus bat. But we will be sent down as soon as Teo and George are back up. Then, more Biggio! Yay! #noodle.
  18. Jansen is so bad offensively that when I am watching a game a few minutes behind live on PVR I will fast forward his at bat. There is no reason to watch an auto-out.
  19. I disagree - all three of those guys would scuffle at 3B.
  20. Sorry, should have been more clear. lol = I was kidding. My point was this; his offence sux but at least we are getting gold glove caliber defense while he struggles. I wasn't saying batting almost zero was awesome or anything.
  21. Really? I thought it totally did lol
  22. He is the best defensive catcher in baseball right now.
  23. It's a great matchup. The Jays can put up or shut up. I am also not sure what the saying means.
  24. Fangraphs shows his average fastball is at 90.9 mph. Lowest of his career.
  25. Sheeeeeit. I saw the headlines and thought it was today. I need to F5 more.
