    I mean, you still have to draft pitching at some point like any other position. If they took Manoah because they thought 'we need pitching' then this is a bad pick. Same logic applies. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and he was the best signable player on their board.

    He's talking to the media. He's not supposed to actually say anything real there.

    You can trade for them. You can sign them internationally. You can sign them as free agents. You probably shouldn't just take an OF just because you need OF. With Carrol, its also possible it was a signability thing.. didn't he go to Arizona? They have a big pool.

    Generally, this front office seems to know what they are doing in the draft so I'm happy enough. Does anyone know if he's below slot? It seems like he would be slot as he was projected around here but I have no idea.

    Carroll sounds awesome.. albeit I've literally only seen him in clips and have no idea how to evaluate baseball players.

    If you could trade picks, the draft would be so interesting. Teams would be trying to jump for abrams I'd guess.

    I would say something about draft coverage, in that I'm way more interested in scout's feelings about draftees than their mock draft projections. That's why fangraphs is so good in that they incorporate draftees unto their board and their FV system gives you an idea of how good a prospect is compared to ones already in the pro game. I'd love if they also did personal lists but still pretty good.

    I went back and listened to parts of one of the episodes I liked. I have no idea who is talking because apparently no is introduced. I guess that would be note one.

    Which posters are on the podcast? I've listened to a few and a few guys seem insightful and some do not. I'd like to match them to their actual posts as well. Maybe, I'm missing something. Edit: not trying to be insulting.. but the episodes i've listened to have dead air and people waiting for other people to talk. Every time, I've thought that you could cut it down to 2/3 people at most and it would be better. I haven't listened to the latest two though.

    Right now. I'm hoping for Carroll or Bishop but I'm fine with whatever. This FO seem pretty competent in the draft.

    I wouldn't start sucking each other's dicks just yet. Golden State could win the next 4 and on one would be that surprised. I'm pulling for the raptors obviosuly but still.

    Warmoth is a single away from a cycle and he should get at least two more at bats! Guys are really heating up everywhere right now.

    Riley adams and Forest Wall are killing it. Fangraphs seem to consider both to be bench types but for Adams that seems to be based on his bat so presumably if he continues to hit, he is very interesting. Wall is considered to be a LF for them but if he could stick at center, I guess he's interesting.

    Talking myself into Carroll hard and I’ve literally never seen more than a 5 min video lol. He sounds perfect though. Hit tool is where it is at with the juiced ball.

    I don't give a f*** if we are 'embarrassed'. That doesn't even mean anything. We win 100 games two years from now and literally no one will ever remember this. There are two kinds of sports fans. I'll watch most games and I just will never stop watching. My wife will pay attention when we are good. So, how the f*** is this 'embarrassment' going to affect anything? No one's mind will be changed by this.

    People who are super strident in their prospect predictions should be making public lists of predictions. It seems easy to just point out when you were right.
