  1. I thought he did another over risky sub for marginal gains in that game. France for Lukes and then Straw could have ended up with straw in a pivotal at bat if we didn't get more add on runs. Feel like he just over thinks it sometimes. Schneider there can play outfield. Or just leave lukes in.
  2. Yea that was a complete 'how dare you move to first' delayed ego call that is wildly inappropriate in a world series game.
  3. The odds are extremely high. I have mixed feelings on the whole Kirk thing. He was a symptom of where america has gone really really wrong. Essentially, the big money has won the propaganda war there and in real terms could lead to the end of democracy. I mean its not over 50% chance but its much higher than it was in 2015. At the same time, that doesn't make every trump voter or kirk fan a bad person. The world is much more complicated than that. People are complicated generally.
  4. Varland's fastball is weird to me. I feel like if he could locate it up, he would get more strike outs on that and the curve. Its down too much and middle too much. I also thought he looked a bit nervous. He has logged a ton of innings though and carried a huge load.
  5. I can see that but we are now down springer and santander and have half a Bo. We need pop.
  6. Schneider is capable of going off over a series and IKF is not. We are the underdog, so we should be increasing our upside not decreasing our downside. Simple as that.
  7. Right, i don't care if he strikes out on three high fastballs, he can hit a hanger for a home run on the 4th at bat. And he can also work a walk. Its a completely indefensible decision.
  8. Yea, honestly this selection decision on its own is making me think he's a bad manager. DS can hit home runs. We need multi run home runs against a more talented team.
  9. Honestly this. He's also the next day starting pitcher. Throw at his hands. If he hits it out so be it.
  10. I really think they need to play Schneider more. He isn't a great player, but he can take a walk and he can pull home runs. We need offense and we should take whatever downgrade Schneider is at second or in the corner outfield. I sometimes feel like giving managers crafty veterans like straw, ikf and france can be a mistake because most managers were themselves crafty vets. They over value that type.
  11. I just don't get it at all. There is zero logic to it.
  12. I can KIND of defend the Little decision in game 5 of the ALCS. There is some kind of logic. Give Raleigh a different look or something. Straw for Barger in a tie game is a decision so indefensible that i'd really need to sit him down and hear exactly why he did it and if i didn't like the answer i'd fire his ass. Barger is seeing the ball so well right now and hitting it hard, and he decided to take him out in a tie f***ing game. It is an all time stupid decision. I'm sure he'll say you couldn't predict it would go 18. But going 10,11,12 were real possibilities. It was tied in the 8th. And then he kept neutering our line up as he went on. I'd also want to know why the f*** Davis Schneider is playing so little and IKF is playing so much when the former is a much better hitter. He absolutely f***ed us in this game.
  13. Just watched a video previewing guys getting posted this offseason from Japan. The pitcher Imai is interesting. Super low release point which would give us a rotation with a super high release point and a super low one. Just looks like a super solid pitcher all round as well. Projected to be 6/120 - 6/150.
  14. Also IKF playing this much in this series when Schneider is an exponentially better hitter is malpractice.
  15. I can't think of a reliever who just misses middle as much as varland. Its insane.
  16. I would have preferred dominquez or fisher. Dominquez with a clean inning i feel decent about.
  17. I also feel bad for little. He threw a ton of innings this year and is generally quite wild. It was not fair to him to stick him in a massive spot against guys who mash lefties.
  18. Yea this was not an analytics move. I'm pretty sure Raleigh is also a really good low ball hitter as well. It made no sense.
  19. I'm normally mr don't blame the manager. I usually think they are the lightening rod for the front office.. and most decisions are pretty close to 50/50. However, this is one of the dumbest pitching changes i've ever seen. Little has not been good for an extended period. All three hitters hit lefties well. His rationale also makes zero sense. If looks mattered then don't pitch your high leverage relievers yesterday in a blowout! Like, none of this makes sense. What an insane decision.
  20. I'm so sick of Louis 'great stuff' Varland. Maybe it isn't great stuff.
  21. Announce a leftie as an opener and hope they go more rightie and then put in gausman?
  22. Is there an argument for gausman on short rest tomorrow? And then start yesavage on normal rest if needed game 5?
  23. I trust fisher exponentially more than varland even though he gave up a run. i feel like i want to see varland start just to give him more pitches so guys can't just wait for his s***** four seamer. Like can he throw a sinker?
  24. Pretty much all these guys can pitch tomorrow. No reason not to try to win it tonight.
  25. Can i never hear about this guys 'stuff' again? Dead dead dead straight 100mph fastballs are still dead straight. They can hit that in the f***ing show.
