The Orioles Tyler Wells got lit up last night and has been sent down to the minors. Wells was one of their best SPs the first half. I think this is a sign that the Orioles will go hard after SPs even more so than we all suspected.

I don’t recall anyone really blaming Swanson last night in totality. We all knew he was cooked. We were pissed at the roster construction that had a pitcher on the roster we could not use, (Atkins) and the damn taking out Whitt instead of Espinal. (JS). Also, we were complaining about it before the inevitable even happened. So, it was not like Monday morning QBing.

Good so you know that Witt’s spot came up in extras with the runner on 2b and he wasn’t there to hit either…. When Witt was pulled, it was a 1 run game. Assuming, you also recall Espinal screwing the pooch already in key situations this year and Witt being super consistent and reliable. Like, someone I know I can count on on both sides, late innings/tight game with a good baseball IQ. Low and behold, what happened..

Sounds like you didn’t watch the game and don’t understand the context of the whole discussion.

Suck the DRS rankings. Anyone watching knows Witt has been more consistent, reliable and has a better baseball IQ. It was also a one run game and you took arguably our best hitter out of the line up.

Subbing Witt and not moving him to 2b is not defensible both from a defensive standpoint and from an offensive stand point if the game goes extras, which it of course did. Part of Witt’s D is a reliability, Veteran presence and a smart baseball guy.

Everyone else had pitched too many inning in the previous games. They were Red light to pitch. Swanson should have been red lighted also, the TV broadcasters were not even sure he was going to be available.. He pitched like he shouldn't have been...

We have a great 2b, and we pulled him for a sub par MFrr.. That was the obvious move for me, to just shift Merrifield to 2b and Varsho goes into LF. I just didn't get it and don't get it. The reason I felt that way at the time is because Witt is very steady and makes all the routine plays and is a heads up smart player. Espinal, is exactly what I saw happen..

Yup, I would go further and say none, as the current roster is constructed.

This is one of the first losses where I can really, really blame roster construction and the managers moves. Get your head's out of your asses!

I called it out for defense.. Witt is a far superior 2b at everything.

This team is 100% better on O and D with Witt at 2b. That was a f***ing dumb ass move by Schneider. I told the board. Y'all need to start listening to CD
