    Not at all accurate Jim. Bauer admitted to “rough” consensual sex, NOT to beating the accuser as the photos that first surfaced indicated. The accuser’s bedside morning after video debunked all that. Show me where there is admission by Bauer of conduct violating the MLB code of conduct???

    Trevor Bauer had zero criminal charges against him and his alleged “crime” wasn’t statutory. MLB now has a precedent.. They screwed up and were unjust. Now they have to apply discipline equally.

    I would wager he goes to San Fran. He is from the area and can probably get over the Doom loop thing going on. Also, SF is a pitchers park where hitters go to die.... So, great place to continue your legacy if a pitcher, not so much as a hitter.

    Ohtani could have said a million reasons he wanted to play for the Dodgers... It is obvious to most of us who can see the forest through the trees that the Dodgers commitment to winning, track record, strong minor league system, made a huge difference to Ohtani. I really think you need to listen to the press conference and have some context before you criticize it as some canned PR response..

    If you listened to the press conference, which it appears you didn't. That is what was told to Ohtani in a closed door meeting and Ohtani was pretty tight lipped about how he made his decision. Of all the factors that went into making his decision, he chose to highlight that point. The Dodgers have a WS ring in that period, WS appearances, Division champs etc and they still call that a failure... Not the same as Ross and Mark saying we need to do better.

    Did you guys listen to the Ohtani press conference? Ohtani said a key reason he picked the Dodgers is because even though they have been in the playoffs the last 10 years and won one WS, they think of that as a failure. That is the mindset and commitment that attracted Ohtani. Our 3 playoffs appearances via the WC and 2 and out is not in the same universe. Some on here have said that it is a good job, we made in the playoffs three of the last four years. For the Dodgers, that is still failure.
