  1. So Isaac Paredes is making his debut tonight. I have been looking forward to this moment. However, MLB.com has him in the line-up, has for a while now and Fantrax still is not showing him active..? I can roster him correct even sin # beside him and his stats will count if he plays a real MLB game, correct?
  2. So there is this thing in the real world called Suicide by COP. It is where a person wants to kill themselves, but they don't have the balls to it themselves. So they normally run at a COP with a knife or point a gun at a COP and disregard all the commands to stop, drop the knife/gun etc. They end up getting shot and killed, but don't have to do the dirty work themselves. This is like the internet poster version.. Interesting.
  3. LOL, s***, I hope he has good K/BB ratios then..
  4. Carlson getting promoted for tomorrow's Cards game.
  5. Carlson getting promoted finally!! This is my Pearson first start or early Christmas. Both are cool;)
  6. Ok, how about that they have a much better record then our "Hot s***" team. They beat us in our home park with Pearson starting and we only beat them in the 10th with a man starting on 2b with Ryu starting... All the while getting only one start from their #1 starter and being devastated by COVID and not even playing a home game. So, I guess if they suck, we REALLY suck..
  7. You forgot Noivle Marte was included in that deal coming to me also as well as a few other players.. It was for 1-3 and another pick.
  8. My take on it is that when he was in the rotation, he led the team or was tied in QS ICR. He was up there anyway. Some might find the QS a dinosaur stat, however, it does two things. It makes your pen better since now you don't have to expose shittier middle relief guys to get to your set up and closer guys, Two, if your starter is only allowing three runs, your team is still in the ball game. I understand the injury and durability concerns. However, there are a lot of really good SPs out there who have been injured multiple times and stay as SPs. The only time he was a SP, he gave us a lot of 6 innings of quality pitching which is rare in this day and age even with some of big names. He also did all those QS against really good teams in the AL East ballparks in a regular season where the hitting had already caught up to the pitching (I think his first start was late June/early July). Hence, I say let him dictate if he can stay a starter or if he has to go to the pen with his performance that he has actually accomplished and not based on projections or suspicions.
  9. I still believe that... I believe he is. I think he is better then Thorton... as one example of a guy in the rotation.
  10. Watch it go to 10th inning and the runner on 2nd after all this...
  11. Been saying that on this board for 3 years.... Mostly fell on deaf ears.....
  12. 3b Anderson over Shaw X 1000 Vilar is one of the better SS 1B Aguilar is a season removed from 35 hrs Alcantra is really good (COVID) E Hernandez is good and up and coming. Had a small blip last night. Caleb Smith is decent LF Corey Dickerson has been a consistently good bat. They have a LOT of on the cusp or up and coming young players.. Pitchers and positions players. They kind remind me of the Red Sox the year they really sucked, but you could see the talent emerging.. Then the next year they went to the playoffs..
  13. Marlins are actually good. They don't even have their better starters....
  14. They going to be tearing up some wings tonight in Buffalo!
  15. Or just 1/3 of a Connor away...
  16. Ok, to qualify for OF, that needs to be 10 in either LF or RF, or like 6 in CF and 6 in LF would do it? Thanks
  17. So in the Fantrax settings for BORED, how many games does a player need at a position for it to show up as eligible? Is there like a shortened season pro-rated number this year? Thanks
  18. So here is my completed draft: Zac Veen CF Austin Martin (acquired in a trade) 3B (hoping he will be CF) Bryce Jarvis SP Jared Jones SP Lewin Diaz 1B Cole Wilcox SP Jose Garcia SS (Acquired in trade) Nick Garcia SP Hudson Haskin OF Shay Whitcomb SS I tried to stay away from high school kids. However, I am not going to skip Zac Veen and I really like Jared Jones, so I did dip high school for those two. When it came to Jared Jones, there was another high school pitcher, Jared Kelly I really liked, but I was not going to take two prep arms. I ultimately decided I like Jared Jones better. To get Martin, I traded Boegarts... Mr. steady and reliable at SS. One of the pieces with Martin I received in return is Kieboom, not yet Mr. steady and reliable. He also might end up at 3b and not even keep SS eligibility. Therefore, I made the trade for Jose Garcia who is near ready as a hedge/back up. I like Noilve Marte but he is too young and too far away for my timeline. I also made another trade for Isaac Parades SS as another hedge. Additionally, I drafted Shay Whitcomb a college SS to be another hedge (Plan D LOL). If you recognize the name, it is because he was the VERY LAST player taken in this years draft by Houston. Regardless, I was debating between him and Nick Loftin.. I like both. I thought Loftin would have higher trade value and be moved easier if my current SS work out and I have a glut. On the other hand, I thought Whitcomb has higher offensive upside then Loftin. Loftin ended up getting picked 2 picks before my turn so Whitcomb it was. If I were to pick the two out of my draft that will pleasantly surprise me 5 yrs down the road and looking back. I think it will be Nick Garcia and Whitcomb..
  19. That and how they have all D Panche higher than Carlson blows my mind also...
  20. Fantrax appears to be down - Infrastructure issues..
  21. Speaking of good picks.. You guys did really well with Shane McClanahan. Same thing, I didn't realize he was available. I have him in BBDL and is probably my favorite pitching prospect.
  22. I have to admit Capt. Kirk was a good snag. I didn't realize he was available. I could swear I had seen him on someones roster. Maybe it was BBDL and I was confused.
  23. Sounds good. P4L now has my pick 116. Thanks!
