  1. Against Charlie Morton too, who's pretty fantastic. Isn't against some scrub.
  2. The plate approaches have completely changed seemingly overnight. Dante Bichette for hitting coach?
  3. Randal Grichuk seems to actually be working counts and being patient. Lets hope it sticks.
  4. This feels like exactly the type of inning that the Rays would always have against us.
  5. 3-0 changeup for strike. That was nice.
  6. It's insane how little Jansen has to move his mitt. Ryu hits his spots so well.
  7. All 3 had pretty good plate appearances.
  8. Gotta say, that Rays lineup doesn't look great. No Meadows, Pham traded, and Avisail Garcia isn't great, but he was still good for the Rays last year.
  9. DeGrom already hitting 99-100 mph. Acuna had no chance there.
  10. "Bo, Vlad, Cavan, you're going back to Buffalo"
  11. Despite all the histrionics that went on to get to this point, let’s take a moment to appreciate that we will be seeing Bo and Vlad in live game action today, and Hyun-Jin Ryu is a f***ing Blue Jay. For better or worse, this young core has rejuvenated my passion that I feel had been lacking since 2017. Lets do this!
  12. My god that lineup is absurd. On paper, maybe one of the best teams ever since projection systems became a thing. And that's with Will Smith on the bench and Gavin Lux on the taxi squad.
  13. Big enough news that it warrants it’s own thread Jays could very likely make the playoffs.
  14. Vlad with an absolute bomb out of Fenway.
  15. No other team in baseball also not touching Puig kind of speaks volumes. The Jays need OF help more than most, sure, but a lot of teams could've had him for dirt cheap and probably upgraded their OF. Maybe he's more of a hassle internally than we think. Personally I won't really care if we do/don't sign Puig. Gurriel and Grichuk are locked into two OF spots, and I don't blame Atkins for giving Fisher/Alford/Teoscar one more chance to see if there's something there.
  16. Can’t predict injuries, but that trade is looking quite swell for us.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised. Lux is more or less ready. They could probably get a really nice return for Seager and keep that farm system strong without losing a beat.
  18. Jays could be in such a fantastic spot to add impact free agent talent this offseason. Competitive window will be opening, and we'll be in a great spot to take advantage of the depressed market. Tulo will also be officially off the books, and there won't be any players with huge arb raises. George Springer 6 years/$120M deal Trevor Bauer 1 year/$25M (if he stays true to his word and signs one year deals in free agency) Jake Odorizzi 3 years/$54M Joc Pederson 4 years $60M? That's an additional $78M in payroll for 2021 which would still give us tons of flexibility to add considering our financial commitments moving forward are peanuts.
  19. That slider by Romano was something else
  20. Aaaaand Fisher grounds into a double play. Atleast he hit it hard.
  21. According to Wilner, it will go all 9 yes.
