  1. Hottest hitter in Teoscar hitting 8th, while Tellez is hitting 4th. Go figure. Nice to see Biggio hitting leadoff and Shaw back.
  2. Eric Sogard hit more runs for the Blue Jays in 55 games than he did in his entire career up to that point. It's not like the Blue Jays haven't had their fair share of turning around players coming off down seasons either: Francisco Liriano, Jason Grilli, Joaquin Benoit, Dominic Leone, Aledmys Diaz, Eric Sogard, David Phelps. People tend to be more blind to the good things happening to their own team sometimes.
  3. I expect some of our pitchers to be featured in the next PitchingNinja set of GIFs.
  4. Our young pitchers are looking like studs out of the pen.
  5. Wasn’t even a bad pitch by Hatch there. Credit to Duvall for putting it out.
  6. Uhh...why did the Cubs let this guy go?
  7. Luis Alexander Basabe, a semi-interesting switch hitting CF prospect who was a filler piece in the Chris Sale/Yoan Moncada trade, was just DFA'd by the White Sox He's seemingly hit a wall in AA, but he's still young (23), and has hit decently well in the lower levels of the minors. He also turned on Hunter Greenes 101 mph fastball in the Futures Game a couple years ago: Could be an intriguing pickup because he's a toolsy CF, but I'd imagine the Tigers will probably snap him up.
  8. Yep. Don't want to speculate, but his achilles looked like it popped on a replay....
  9. Never ceases to amaze me how Cleveland just churns out ace pitchers.
  10. I can’t tell if we’re actually good, or if the Nats just really suck this season.
  11. There's been a sharp increase in Borucki's stuff. His changeup and slider seem more sharp, his fastball is 94-95. I'd much rather see him in the rotation than Thornton
  12. Borucki looking like Chris Sale with his weight loss.
  13. Nationals realistically should've had 4-5 run on the board this game. They've been getting very unlucky. Good defense by Vlad, Drury, and Gurriel though to bail them out.
  14. Drury was something like the 5th best 3B in the majors according to Outs-Above-Average. For as much s*** as we gave him last year, he had a great defensive year.
  15. I more meant the two swings where the pitch was almost in the dirt.
  16. Vladdy is swinging at so much junk so far.
  17. Nice AB by Gurriel there. Really battled.
  18. The other option was Santiago Espinal, an actual shortstop.
  19. I'd be surprised if the Reds/Cubs game goes on tonight as well. Could be 3 games canceled today.
  20. This is the same Drury as last year.
  21. That ball is in the seats if he elevated it.
  22. This is the exact type of inning the Rays always have against us.
  23. Hope Hatch sticks around even when Pearson gets called up.
  24. Hatch has a high spin fastball and throws 96, and I don’t think Jansen called for a single fastball up in the zone. Seems weird. That’s where those types of pitches are the most effective.
