    Thank goodness the pitching has been lights out for the most part this season because the offense is lagging behind. I know, that is true for most teams, but damn, the Jays offense has really struggled. That said, the Jays have managed a good start to the season. The three top starters look good....real good and the the top arms in the bullpen are bringing it. I do think that once Hernandez returns, the offense will begin to turn the corner.

    It was said mostly tongue in cheek. But Bo's WAR did not help when he went 0 - 5 leaving 6 on base yesterday. A struggling BO is NOT the same as the 'usual' Bo. And well, the last time I posted something suggesting that Bo should not be batting 2nd, he hit a grand slam. So.....thought it best to post again.

    Vladdy NEEDS to bat 2nd. Now pitchers are pitching around Springer? Good grief.

    Why oh why must Thornton still be a Jay? The fact that he is still a Jay means the Jays could have done more to shore up the bullpen.

    No, a good ribeye is better than a filet. The fat makes a ribeye the better tasting steak. Hell there is a reason why some feel the need to wrap bacon around a filet. Filet is tender but no where as tasty as a good ribeye.

    Watching some of these at bats....the Jays hitters look lost. They look like a bad team at the plate. Yesterday they were gifted with a run due to bad defense by the opponent and looks like that is all they will manage again today....and looking like s*** doing it.

    I guess, for now, we just have to hope that pitching and defense can carry this team.

    Right now the Jays' offense looks scary as kittens. And to think we were trying to think of a nickname for these pussies. Hopefully, Hernandez gets back and they started wreaking havoc again.

    When the pitch is in the strike zone...why move your glove? Let the ump see the strike. That last batter should have been out several pitches ago...but when the catcher jerks a low strike up into the high strike zone...well, an ump is going to see that movement and infer that the ball was low - out of the strike zone. If the pitch is in the strike zone...give the ump a good look with a still glove.

    Why is Vladdy out of the lineup?

    Offense is struggling and think Montoyo should juggle the lineup a bit to get it going. I think he should move Bo down to the 4th spot...that spot which I think he is best suited. I would move Vladdy up to the 2nd spot, and why he is not there already, god only knows. I think I would try and move Gurriel up to the #3 spot (eventually Hernandez's spot) to see if it might unlock something in Gurriel and get him going. And let Collins bat 5th. The offense has been sputtering, why not shake things up a bit and see what it might do to get guys going. Yes, the Jays are doing well in the standings, but it has been a combination of outstanding starting pitching, some really good defense coupled with some good relief pitching that has got them where they are. Offense needs to begin contributing in a more substantial manner and shaking up the lineup could not hurt at this point.
