  1. Yes, he was off to a really slow start but in the past couple of games, damn he is getting good contact. Would not be surprised if he gets hot real soon.
  2. Is it just me or does Montoyo treat his rotation and his starting lineup like they are greenhouse flowers that need to be treated delicately and with care but works the s*** out of the bullpen.
  3. I am just happy that Springer is alright and that this is just yet another chapter in the weird twilight zone episode that is Montoyo's management of the team.
  4. Does anyone know why Springer is not in the lineup? This is NOT a rest thing...he would be DH. Hell they have an off day coming up and is just around the corner. This is NOT good news, I fear the worst. PLEEEEEEASE do not tell me another Blue Jay has gone down with injury!
  5. Must admit I am a bit surprised how well the bullpen pitched today. Not sure what they will have left for tomorrow.
  6. How did I know that Vladdy was not getting another at bat? It seems like every second game he is on deck but never seems to get that last at bat.
  7. Seems like the umps just can't stand not having an impact on the game.
  8. Tapia: speed kills. Collins: lack of speed kills.
  9. Espy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Not sure Vladdy gets to the plate that many times. Maybe somebody gets hit with a pitch or something, and Vladdy gets to bat with someone on base.
  11. Vladdy is on another level. He is by far the most dangerous man in baseball.
  12. Yes, but if they are smart they will not pitch to him. No one there to protect him. HATE this lineup.
  13. It is weird. I always thought the Jays had a deep and scary lineup, but over the past few days, I look at the lineup and it looks real thin, like very thin. I know there are injuries...but damn, the bench looks like s*** and you notice it when they are included in the lineup. Is it possible the Jays bench is one of the weakest in the entire league or am I just over-reacting to complete lack of early production.
  14. Did too many sunflower seeds during the delay.
  15. It is sad how much a non-player can impact the game. Bad umpires can make watching baseball a frustrating affair.
  16. Funny thing about sports, some times the team that should not win, wins. Hope tonight that is the case. Hope some of the new bench players starting surprise us all.
  17. Rest days should not happen when playing that team you need to beat in the division. Only way this move makes sense is if you fully expect to lose the game.
  18. Does anyone know why Chapman is not in the lineup tonight? Is he simply getting some rest? Is he a really bad matchup against Severino? Or a bit of both? Or simply trying to get as many left handed batters in the lineup as possible?
  19. No. But do think there is nothing wrong with making your starting lineup fluid. IF you have someone with a hot bat...like we have seen with Gurriel at times, I have no problem with the idea of moving him up in the order. Sorry if you find that ridiculous. I guess you could simply keep the lineup as is and simply move everyone up a spot. But the fact that no one has named that #4 hitter but have listed three guys.....tells me that there really is no clear answer. I am simply providing another scenario. I do realize it is only a 6 game sample...hence I brought up the fact that Espy hit over .300 last year...so he can get on base.
