  1. STFU with this garbage. It must have killed you when Sportsnet shut down the comments section.
  2. Alright battle of the bullpen time now. Hopefully Flu continues to have success against Ohtani.
  3. Maybe a Schwarber light type of peak could be possible but without a lot better plate discipline Daulton's ceiling is a lot lower. It's a shame Varsho missed so much time due to injury. I have some doubts he could maintain a 300+ ISO over a full season of play but he kept putting up numbers like this as it started with a massive spring training and continued all season long despite the various stops and starts due to injury.
  4. I think the new power is for real. Varsho has produced really similar overall numbers in the post season against higher quality pitching than he faced in the regular season. My only real concern with Daulton is the state of the surgically repaired shoulder in terms of throwing ability, but the arm strength was coming back later in the season and has looked much better in the post season.
  5. I don't understand how people still think that it's up to Bo to decide whether he starts the games or not, or how many innings he plays. If Bo blows out his knee he's out for the rest of the post season. It's easy to see he's nowhere close to 100% right now. I have zero issues with Bo only playing part of the game given the likely state of his knee, but I would prefer that he starts the game against the Dodger rotation to give the team a better chance to score early vs being saved for later in the game.
  6. Seems like the team performed just fine to me with these players in the mix.
  7. I think there's more in the bat. I believe Gimenez was hampered by the bad ankle for much of the season, and with a little better health he can unlock a little more juice out of the bat with a stronger base beneath him.
  8. That's my guess. It's obvious that Bo is nowhere close to 100% yet and as such it feels like the team isn't going to start him in back to back games in an attempt to keep him available for the entire series.
  9. If the series went to game 7 I'd guess it's more of an all hands on deck/bullpen kind of game vs a dedicated starter going deep into the game.
  10. Wow that's a statement win if I've ever seen one. That was the best starter that the Dodgers had to offer and the Jays made short work of him to get him out of the game in the 6th. Continuing to get to the Dodgers underwhelming pen will be a massive key to this series. Kudos to the Jays pen that was largely excellent in this one.
  11. I think Bo's arm is plenty strong for short stop. His issue was almost entirely bad range at short stop as the throwing issues were largely a thing of the past.
  12. Yeah I think Bo can earn a really nice contract as a second baseman. I think the Semien deal with an extra year or two tacked on due to Bo's younger age could act as a bit of a template.
  13. I don't know if Bo is going to have much of a choice. I recall a recent update from one of the MLB insiders stating that none of the MLB teams viewed Bo as a short stop moving forward.
  14. It is probably is closer to $500 million once you account for the deferrals.
  15. Has anyone really been willing to break the mold completely yet and use their defacto closer in the 7th inning in the post season? I haven't been tuning into a ton of non Blue Jays post season baseball most years and I'm curious if there have been any managers willing to bring their closer in this early vs a potential 8th inning deployment.
  16. I believe I saw it mentioned that Vlad was dealing with a bit of a groin issue in the final days of the regular season and the rest was a godsend for him. It does make sense that he didn't have a solid base beneath him over the last few weeks given how weak his swing looked.
  17. I generally agree but I think it's possible that Springer will play left field to allow Lukes and his plus arm to feature in right field.
  18. I don't see any way that Bo will be playing a new position for the first time in the world series coming off of a knee injury. A position switch is something that should happen in the offseason/spring training with proper reps to learn the ins and outs of the position. I expect that he will likely receive some starts at DH with pinch hitting duties in other games and see little chance of him seeing the field at any point.
